My Interests

Q: Thank you Nic for taking the time to talk to us today and answer some questions. A: Hey, no problem, fire away. Q: How did you become a pirate? A: I'm not a pirate. Q: Sorry wrong set of questions, what is a typical day in your life? A: Wake-up, maybe pass my roommate in the elevator, shower routine, short meditation, go to work or auditions, come home and facebook, read, play piano, write, call mom, and maybe some play time, fight crime, listen to ipod and go to bed. Q: If you were to write your memoirs tomorrow, what would you name them? A: "Nic Stanich Saved Your Life" or "Being A Superhero isn't Easy" Q: When did you decide to drop the "K" from Nick and go by Nic? A: Sometime around 8th grade, I realized that people that spell their name Nicholas use a K in Nick, my name is spelled Nicolas, so no K. Also Nic Cage spells it like that. Q: Who are you dating? A: I knew you would ask that question, but I don't deal with my personal life in interviews. Q: Do you mind if we call you E-40? A: That doesn't make any sense. Q: Have you ever actually ghost rode your whip? A: Yes sir, twice actually. First time it was really weak, and the last time, the car was actually moving so fast my feet ran with the car a little when I got out and after a little dancing, jumped my booty back in the car. Q: I heard you are pretty good with your sidekick. True? A: Im solid with my sidekick digitry. Throw out those IDK's and TTYL's like its my job. I can get a solid text out in under 10 seconds, WITH a smiley face I may add.

Music:

Q: What is the first concert you ever went to? A: The Rolling Stones at the 'stick, 1989. Q: What did you listen to growing up? A: Since I grew up in a dance studio in the 80s a lot of pop, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Whitney Houston, since it was mostly girls in the dance studio I heard "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" probably like a billion times. Also, Al Green and of course, the Stones. Q: What CDs are you currently listening to? A: John Mayer "The Village Sessions", Maroon 5 "It Wont Be So Before Long" and always Justin Timberlake "Futuresex/Lovesound" Q: Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out"? A: I'd probably say a very creepy farmer, but it worked. So good job to him. Q: What would you do without music? A: Probably be a normal person. Music determines my day for me, changes my mood, wakes me up, dresses me, puts me to sleep. I have music on almost 82% of the time. And there would be no dancing, so I'd lose my edge. Q: What? A: Nothing. Q: No what is it? Somethings wrong, I can tell, what? A: No I'm fine, really.

Movies:

Q: Favorite Disney movie of all time? A: Tie between Dumbo and Bambi. Q: First movie you remember seeing in theatres? A: Willow, creeped me out for a very long time. Q: Name one movie that changed your life. A: "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", first time I ever saw Paul Newman act, if I ever get a chance to do this play I would stop everything and do it. I'd also do that for "Grease". Q: What was the best thing before sliced bread? A: I don't know, what year was sliced bread invented? Q: Otto Frederick Rohwedder made a bread slicer machine in 1920. A: Then I'd say, the pencil. Q: Team Aniston or Team Jolie? A: Neither, Team McAdams. Q: Notebook fan? A: Nope, never seen it. Q: Ok What? A: You know how you asked me what earlier? I didn't know how to say it then, but I was scared that you weren't liking the answers I was giving in the interview, and I know thats stupid because obvious you like them or you wouldn't keep asking me, but I just thought for a second that you might be over it and I got nervous. Q: That's ridiculous. A: I know, I'm sorry. I know you like my answers, and I like your questions. Believe me, you are the only person I'd want to ask me questions. You are great at it.

Television:

Q: Favorite TV show right now? A: The Office, easy. Q: How much tv do you watch a week? A: Sundays and Thursdays I watch the most. Sunday's is Entourage/Sopranos night at my buddy's house, and Thursday is Office, Scrubs, and Greys. Other than that random times watching Sportscenter or The Daily Show. Q: If you could be on any tv show what would you choose? A: Heroes because it just started and I have a small thing for superheroes aka I have super powers. Q: Which powers do you have? A: I can fly, I have a super immune system, and I can heal people with my touch. Q: Is there something from your experiences as a baller that has helped you in life? A: Taught me to be clutch in life. Love pressure, love challenges. If you challenge me to do something, I will 100% do it. Way too much pride. Q: What is your favorite celebrity couple nickname? A: Fugs and Juggs.

Books:

Q: Current book your reading? A: "Sit Down and Shut Up: Punk Rock Commentaries on Buddah, God, Truth, Sex, Death, & Dogen's Treasury of the Right Dharma Eye" by Brad Warner, short title, great book. Q: Learn anything interesing yet? A: Yeah, I feel like every chapter I read I gain something new. Simple things that you know already, but don't really think about everyday. One thing being, "I can't be deceived" and not like, ha, nobody can trick me, but instead it means you are responsible for your own actions, everything that you do, the circumstances everything is your own making. Q: If a man is standing in the middle of the forest speaking and there is no woman around to hear him...is he still wrong? A: How very zen of you and probably. Q: Well how about this. If a turtle loses its shell, is it naked or homeless? A: I imagine it would be very pissed. Pissed and naked. Q: Where do you see yourself in five years from now? A: Being 28. And having no friends, cause they are married and living in the OC (ha). Q: If you could be one person for one day who would it be? A: Justin Timberlake Q: Why? A: Seriously? Not obvious? Q: Ok, finish it off with some random Nic facts. A: I have worn the same shoes for the past 5 1/2 years, I only set my alarm clock to odd times, anddddd I keep every movie ticket.

Heroes:

Q: Since you are a superhero yourself, who is your hero? A: My dad, super powers are genetic.. didn't you know that?
