Born in London , I was originally inspired by sculpture and art in general but during the late sixties and early seventies I became increasingly inspired by the photographers of that time. Bailey , Cartier-Bresson , Doisneau , Avedon , Donovan , McCullen , Penn et all , these images of fashion , portraits , music culture and world events captivated me and became the source of my aspirations. I started assisting 'Bowie' image maker Brian Ward in the late seventies and drew on his experience , philosophies and lifestyle. In 1982 I went freelance as a young fashion upstart and since then have been travelling the world making images and the occasional film. I am still as inspired as I ever was 30 years ago , I still find the work of those original innovators as pleasing and could add an equally impressive list of contemporary photographers who are still pushing the boundaries of this digital age and are equally ingenious and stimulating.I am increasingly drawn towards the moving image these days having directed several films and videos both professionally and for my own amusement. Any bands , musicians , actors , models or individuals who are interested in my images and might want to develop some ideas are more than welcome to contact me , if your music or image is interesting to me I'd be pleased to collaborate , ideally on a professional basis.

You might recognize the song 'lovely to me' from the current Kingsmill tv ad's here in the UK , this was the original release and video.The Radiohead clip on the otherside of the page ... i just happen to love !
