Who says that? Honestly...

About Me

About Me:
About Me:
So reading my profile I realize most of it is out of date... For example I didn't just move to California. So this is me: I'm currently very pleased with where I am in life. I have a few really good friends who encourage me no matter where I go, and are grounded solidly in their relationship with God, an awesome well paying job, and I have aspirations about where I want my future to go.
I have a desire to learn to fly, and make it a career, however at the moment I'm not sure if I want to go for the airliner side or cargo or whereever, (if any of you know someone who is in this line of work I'd like to talk to them). I've taken the first step to learn, which involved flying for an hour with an instructor, learning the basics. The next step is actually going to school for it...
Currently I work for the Southern California Gas Company in the distribution field. My title is Construction Technician. Basically what I do is dig holes, find the gas line and control the pressure so we can add new lines or abandon old ones. There are other aspects to the job, but it's not that important. I've been working with this company since January of 2006, if I wanted to I could keep this job until I retire, however I think God has other plans for my life.
My biggest love in life is music, I love to play and to listen to all genres from classical to jazz to rock. The only music I'm usually turned off by is country and it's mainly because of the singing, usually the music is quite sound. I play three instruments; I've been playing the trumpet since I was 10 and currently play it in my church orchestra, I've been playing piano since I was 5 and currently am without resources to play it often but it is my favorite to play, and I've been playing the guitar since I was 18 and I play that occasionally around the house.
I love hiking, and don't do enough of it. I love riding my bike, but I fear that my neck is causing me to have headaches while I ride. I love swimming and just being in water, and I love it more if I have someone to swim with. I enjoy playing racquetball, don't play it often enough. I enjoy bowling and the atmosphere the bowling alley brings. If you'd like to know more about me...I'm here, or I'm there (My AIM s/n is Bobsalzybum) Later.

My Interests

Bleh, already covered.

I'd like to meet:

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

If I could meet a dead dude it would probably be Beethoven. His life and music intrigue me, it's so full of emotion. As far as who'd I'd like to meet that's alive, I can't think of anyone, I've met everyone I need to have met at this current moment.

Music:

Muse , The Killers , Chevelle , 30 Seconds to Mars , AFI , Alkaline Trio , Anberlin , All American Rejects , At the drive in , Audioslave , Avenged Sevenfold , Beck , Blindside , The Bravery , Coheed and Cambria , Coldplay , Deftones , Dropkick Murphy's, Emery, Eric Clapton, Fall Out Boy, Foo Fighters, Franz Ferdinand, Green Day, Gun's n Roses, Haste The Day, Hawthorne Heights, HIM, Hoobastank, Hot Hot Heat, Incubus, Interpol, JET, Jimmy Eat World, Juliana Theory, Linkin Park, Lost Prophets, The Mars Volta, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Modest Mouse, MxPx, My Chemical Romance, NIN, Nirvana, No Doubt, Not Long After, The Offspring, P.O.D., Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Reel Big Fish, Rise Against, The Silence, Soundgarden, Stabbing Westward, Stone Temple Pilots, Story Of The Year, Straylight Run, The Strokes, Sublime, Sugarcult, Sum 41, System of a Down, Taking Back Sunday, Taproot, TRAPT, Tenacious D, Thrice, Thursday, Tool, The Used, The Vines, Weezer, ZAO, Yellowcard, Zebrahead, Demon Hunters.

Plus many many more that I didn't list because it's not yet on my computer. I also enjoy Jazz to great lengths. Classical is also fun to listen to. I have played the piano since I was five; I have been playing guitar since senior year; I can also play most brass instruments. Currently I'm playing my guitar a lot, getting better at the strumming, working on the finger picking. Hopefully I'll land it rich sometime soon so I can buy myself an awesome keyboard. Bands, playing at coffee shops will probably happen soon as it's sort of what I'm seeing myself doing in the future. We'll see.

Movies:

Favorite Drama - American History X
Favorite Comedy - Bill and Ted's
Favorite Fantasy - LOTR series
Favorite Sci-fi - Being a star wars kid for years, i feel obligated to put that down.
Favorite Thriller-type - Se7en
Favorite Horror - Horrors are stupid, and aren't scarry, they are just boring.
Favorite Mindless Action flick - Matrix (Not really mindless, but whatever)
Favorite Kid movie - Anything pixar makes is automatically a favorite.
Favorite Chick Flick - Mean Girls
Favorite "horror" - The Sixth Sense
Many Many more favs, i worked at the theatre for almost 4 years, so i have forgotten most of what i've seen. But they are out there.

Television:

Eh, I don't watch too much TV, I'll watch the office though if I'm home.

Books:

The Lord of the Rings books were absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed reading both the Ender Series and the Ender Shadow series. Any of the Harry Potter books are an enjoyable read without too much thought, with the 4th one being the best. I also have this habit of reading books that were later made into movies. I figure this must have been good in order for someone to say "This should be a movie," usually they are right and the books are 95% of the time better than the movie.

Heroes:

Jesus.
Selfless people
