Quasi-historical romance - the more escapist the better and how else are you going to learn history? Documentaries, BBC; Indie films but not the ones that don't have a point: Anything with Monsieur Depp or the Jolie; Classics - Godfathers 1 & 2, GWTW, etc. No Tarantino - he's too base; Heat - the power trio of Pacino, De Niro and Kilmer before he went all Dionysis; Harlem Nights & JoJo Dancer.
