Rattlesnake Remedy - Headline Band
Rattlesnake Remedy are influenced by such rock n' roll legends as The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Guns n' Roses, Pantera and Black Sabbath, with a more modern sound likened to Audioslave and Velvet Revolver, Rattlesnake Remedy are a hard rock band born through a passion for playing no frills live music.A tight-knit group of fresh, talented musicians with the full intent to bring rock and roll back for good. Their music is as decadent and hard hitting as every generation of rock bands should be, with a stage show stronger than any of their peers. Whether it's hip-driven innuendo, soaring vocal melodies or down and dirty rock n' roll; Rattlesnake Remedy has something for everyone.Over the years the band have played many venues throughout the UK plus featured and performed live on several local and national radio stations including Kerrang! FM and Total Rock Radio. Their phenomenal live shows have received rave reviews from numerous DJs, magazines and webzines.
The band have just finished recording new material for their debut album on BEM Records, encapsulating their finely honed, hi-octane, energy-fuelled live shows. Within just 12 hours of being mastered, one of these tracks, Reach For The Line was chosen by Tony Wilson (Radio 1 - Friday Night Rock Show / Tommy Vance) to replace the Slipknot track as the new audio behind the Total Rock Radio news bulletins, aired worldwide 8 times per day.
Their 1st single "Drag You Down" was released on BEM Records May 1st 2006 and went straight in at No.4 in the BBC Radio 1 Rock Chart. Promotion of the forthcoming album "Magic Man" will include a full UK / European tour with dates also planned for Russia, Japan, Canada and the USA.
Available from all good record stores and download sites.
This show comes right in the middle of the bands 'Drag You Down' tour to support their new album 'Magic Man' due to be released on 30th October 2006.

Overdrive
Overdrive are gonna seriously rock the house at the Winter Gardens on 21st October. They will be appearing at the British Steel Festival supporting Demon and Elixir on 14th October.
Overdrive were formed in May 1977 by a clash of lunatic ideas and influences from rock bands that were around at this time between Tracey Abbott and Neil (mad dog!) Streets. The line up at this time was:
Tracey Abbott (lead guitar) Ian Hamilton (bass guitar main vocal) Neil (mad dog) Streets (percussion and 2nd vocals), Paul Garner (rhythm guitar)
In 1980 the long sold out famous EP, On The Run/Nightmare/Stonehenge was recorded and released. During this period Overdrive went from strength to strength-filling village halls and venues all around the UK, this included support slots with Electric Gypsies (Bernie Tormé), Lionheart, Sparta and others of that era.
1987 the band split, Tracey went off to work with English Dogs and later formed Metal Storm with the now Damned drummer Andy Pinching see: www.officialdamned.com this was to be for only 1 year.
In 1994 Tracey actually stopped playing guitar altogether and Overdrive finally disbanded.
During the wilderness years following until mid 2004 there were various jam nights, and a support slot with old friends Witchfynde but nothing serious with any of the guys until it was noticed that the original Overdrive EP was now in great demand once more, with lots of activity on E-bay, it was then realised Overdrive has a strong European following which has got Overdrive back together in the line up you see today, inspired by the totally new and old generations finding a place in their live’s once more for the music and ideas of Overdrive.
A new album (On Wizard Ridge) has now been released and the rest is history!
Wake
Wake are Ben (vox/guitar), Dale (drums), Drew (bass) and Ross (guitar). They stopped listening to what they should be doing and started putting some bad-ass tunes together in early 2004.What was happening was feeling pretty awesome so they started playing shows locally in Peterborough under the name WAKE. Eventually they were gigging regularly all over the country and this has led to the band developing an energetic live act.The band individually cite influences from a number of diverse artists and genres but the following, amongst others, have been whispered in dark corridors and behind closed doors when describing the band: Oceansize, Jeff Buckley, Queens of The Stone Age and The Cult. With an ever-growing fan-base and list of gigs successfully rocked, WAKE are always moving forward. These guys have also done charity gigs in the past for similar causes and Oxfam’s Make Poverty History Campaign is pretty close to their hearts, hence their agreement to be at the Oxjam gig at the Winter Gardens on 21st October. As for what the WAKE sound is........come to the show and find out for yourself.“Their band is pretty ace......like The Killers mixed with the (omnipresent) Queens Of The Stone Age. There's something compact and appealing about them, and they are a lot poppier than they perhaps realise. Ben has a cool voice as well.”

Middleman
Middleman are a four piece band from Leeds. Slurpy (Drums) Andy (Vocals) Lee (Bass) Krishna (Guitar) The band consists of four blokes who love to make music because its really good fun! These guys are a live band: it’s all about the gigs, the fun, the dancing, the friends and the music.Fans have varying descriptions of Middleman, the most poignant is that they are ‘original’. This is a word seldom applied nowadays to up and coming bands. And it’s a word that can prove a double-edged sword, either forever damning bands to the drawer of obscurity or marking them out for the drawer of future success.According to www.recordscout.com, Middleman’s ‘spacey sound effects’, ‘drum beats’, ‘harmony’ and ‘original sounding music and vocals’ and ‘great production’ makes them sure-fire candidates for the drawer of future success.Channel 4.com SlashMusic concludes that Middleman “are a band with a very unique sound” so if you want to know what they’re really all about, come and see them!Middleman have recently been nominated by Channel 4 for the BT Digital Music Awards unsigned band award 2006…you can vote by visiting www.middlemanpop.co.uk and following the links. On 21st October, Middleman will be performing at an in store gig in Bradford which doesn’t finish until 5.30 and from there they will be rushing over to Cleethorpes to play their second gig in one day and also their second gig for Oxjam, their first being in Leeds on 19th October. This shows their dedication to both their music and their fans. It also shows that these young men are not only serious musicians but also wonderful humanitarians..contactTable .text
