Oscar Aguilera

Oscar discovered his passion for electronic music in 1994. He developed skills and techniques djing in parties and raves, until mid 1999, when he discovered other electronic music styles, moving into underground House and Techno, mantaining his attraction for the 80's sounds, that impregnated his sessions in little clubs from Barcelona during this epoque. One year later, he began working at the Off Records Shop in Barcelona, experience that helped him to develop his music knowledge one step beyond.
He was one of the Midnight Express Collective founder in 2002, with which he and his partners found a way to introduce themselves in some well known clubs all around Catalunya. His name and his unique style become more popular in the bests clubs from Cataluña, while enjoying during these years the likely neverending musical wisdom and experience of one of his friends in the collective, Raul G. Pratginestos (aka Zero)
In 2004 joins Hypnotic Time, prestigious booking and management agency. Since then, he began to play in some of the best considered spanish clubs and fests: Festival Eólica 04 (Tenerife) -he closed the fest after Andy Fletcher's (Depeche Mode) dj set-, Magma Festival 2004 (Tenerife) -where he obtained the recognition and very good feedback from many of the artists that enjoyed his gig, like Thomas Brinkmann, Aril Brikha, Kevin Reynolds…-
During 2005 summer he became resident dj in La Terrrazza World Tour parties at Cala Morisca (Sitges) club. In Dec'05, he began djing out of spain in the Marlboro Shown Down that took place in Barranquilla, Colombia, and followed travelling this time to Rumania in Jan'06 to show his skills in the club Studio Martin from Bucarest.
In Mar'06 he Night Sun Group's dj staff, achieving a big milestone in his career by becoming resident dj from LaTerrrazza and Club Fellini, both very important and respected clubs in Spain nightclubbing scene. With them, he continues djing within the World Tour events that La Terrrazza manages around the world; he has played in clubs like Cocoon Club (Germany), Queen (Paris), Jet Set (Russia) Mood Club (Norway)...
In his sessions, Oscar's intention is to make the crowd flow thru his own vision of electronic music by taking advantage of a wide variety of musical styles: Techno, House, Electro, Minimal... and he achieves it with an incredible easiness. His sets are known for being groovy and dinamyc, uses eclectic sounds, vocal effects and even going darker or deeper when needed. With his characteristic quality and freshness, his sets have the peculiarity of driving the crowds restless, creating a magnificent harmony between the people, the music and himself.
He played with some of the most influencing djs in the world: Andy Fletcher (Depeche Mode), Derrick May, Stacy Pullen, Thomas Brikmann, Tiga, Green Velvet, John Aquaviva, Danny Howells, Darren Emerson, Ralph Lawson and many others....
His first studio work, done in conjunction with Nicolás De Ángel, has just been released at recordshops and the net, released thru the label Chico Records from Barcelona. He is currently close to embark on his own label, Travelling Soul records, that will be releasing the first reference in 2008' first quarter. His productions have won the support from artists like John Acquaviva, Jaümetic, Sasse, Angel Molina, Style Of Eye, Joy Kitikonty, Da Fresh, Gregor Tresher, Matzak, Pedro Blazquez, Kosmos...
SPANISH BIO:
Oscar descubrió su pasión por la música electrónica en 1994. Fue desarrollando su técnica en fiestas y raves hasta mediados de 1999, cuando descubrió otros estilos en la música electrónica, inclinándose al house underground y al techno, además de una atracción por los 80, estilo que fue tiñendo sus sesiones en clubes pequeños de Barcelona. Un año después empezó a trabajar en la tienda de discos Off Record en Barcelona, experiencia que le ayudó a llevar sus conocimientos musicales un paso adelante.
En 2002 fue cofundador del colectivo The Midnight Express, lo que contribuyó a que su nombre y su peculiar estilo se volviera aún más popular en los mejores clubes de Cataluña, aparte de tener la suerte de contar esos años con la sabiduria de Raul. G. Pretginestos aka Dj Zero.
En el 2004 entra a formar parte de la prestigiosa agencia de management Hypnotictime, y a partir de ahí, Óscar empieza actuar en las mejores salas y festivales de España: Festval Eolica 04 (Tenerife) cerrando el festival después de la actuación de Andy Fletcher (Depeche Mode), Magma Festival 2004 (Tenerife), teniendo una gran crítica y acogida por parte de artistas como: Thomas Brikmann, Aril Brikha, Kevin Reynolds.
En el verano del 2005 consigue la residencia de las fiestas La Terrrazza World Tour en Cala Morisca (Sitges). En diciembre del mismo año empieza su aventura en el extranjero en Barranquilla (Colombia) y actuando en la fiesta Marlboro Shown Down. En enero de 2006 viaja a Rumanía actuando en la prestigiosa sala de Bucarest, Studio Martin.
En marzo entra a formar parte de la prestigiosa empresa Night Sun Group, dando un gran paso en su carrera. Cubriendo parte de algunas de las fiestas del World Tour de La Terrrazza y Fellini, en sitios como: Cocoon Club (Germany), Queen (Paris), Jet Set (Rusia), Mood Club (Noruega).
En verano entra a formar parte de la plantilla de residentes de La Terrrazza, uno de los clubs mas importantes de España. En sus sesiones, Óscar Aguilera nos sumerge en su muy personal visión de la música electrónica, usando una amplia variedad de estilos musicales: techno, house, electro, minimal. Sus sesiones son eclécticas y dinámicas, usando sonidos galácticos, efectos vocales e incluso sonidos oscuros y más profundos. Con su característica cualidad y frescura, sus sesiones tienen la peculiaridad de llevar al público a la euforia, creando una magnífica armonía con la gente.
Ha compartido cabina con algunos de los dj's mas conocidos del mundo: Andy Fletcher (Depeche Mode), Derrick May, Stacy Pullen, Thomas Brikmann, Tiga, Green Velvet, John Aquaviva, Danny Howells, Darren Emerson, Ralph Lawson entre muchos otros....
Óscar acaba de editar su primer trabajo discográfico junto Nicolás de Ángel para el sello barcelones Chico Records, y está apunto de nacer su sello, Travelling Soul Records, para el primer trimestre de 2008. Sus producciones han tenido soporte de gente como John Acquaviva, Jaümetic, Sasse, Angel Molina, Style Of Eye, Joy Kitikonty, Da Fresh, Gregor Tresher, Matzak, Pedro Blazquez, Kosmos...
