Not stopping there Hook and Bellboy Records helped shape the Californian dance scene long before other labels. Always ahead of the crowd the labels recorded Peak Rush at the top of Ben Nevis Mountain and became the first Dj mixed theme cd…..other labels followed. The music of Hook Recordings and Bellboy records have been licensed 700 times more than any other UK indie dance label. In addition the labels racked up countless airtime minutes on BBC Radio One-TV during its ten year run on radio and television. Although you would be hard pressed to find a Dj that hasn’t played tracks from Hook or Bellboy the labels still have crossover appeal.
