My favorite unknown doctrine is from my De Veritate: "This being is only divided from that being insofar as in this being there is the negation of that being"

My Interests

praying. Thinking. Reading. Dictating. Thinking. Eating. Eating. Dictating. Praying.

I'd like to meet:

Dr. Gregory House. That man's frustration with the world is so pleasant that it creates the deepest and most profound sense of antinomy within my soul. But it's such a pleasant experience of antinomy that it seems to generate a confusion unto bliss.

Music:

I like Gregorian chant especially. I would love to see it mixed with some house or big beat. Now there's a concept. I like Beck. He's one of the true - TRUE - artists of this generation. Down with corporate music! We don't need wealthy CEOs and Executive telling US what good music is.

Movies:

In the Name of the Rose - gave a rather charitable portrayal of Ockham, entirely neglecting his nominalism, but...whatever. I also really liked Braveheart; Kingdom of Heaven; Glory; Troy; I just love epics. They rule.

Television:

Mind control....turn it off (except for House...)

Books:

All the books of the Bible.....Anything by the Philosopher...Any works of Boethius, Peter the Lombard, Plato (though with reservation)....I love the works of the Arabian philosophers (Averroes, Avicenna, Algazel)...I also thoroughly enjoyed "Black Like Me"; I was enriched by entering so deeply into the African American experience, that I now have a new appreciation for all things African.

Heroes:

The Lord, the Incarnate Second person of the Trinity, the one the only Son of God, Jesus the Christ; plus, Dionysius the Areopogite; Aristotle; Boethius; Gregorys; Plato (even though he was wrong to assume that what can be thought must necessarily exist); Albertus Magnus...(up here we call him "Phat Albert"....Word...); Gots'ta give a shout out to my Arab brothers: Avveroes; Avicenna; Avicebron; Algazel; brilliant, but didn't quite understand Aristotle as accurately as they could have; Maemonides; Paul who was once Saul;
