Born in Staten Island New York, since spread out to New Jersey, Maryland and everywhere in between THE BLUES HOUNDSbring you the Blues with a Rock edge.
Formed in 1993, THE BLUES HOUNDS reunited life long friends SAL CURTO, GERRY STASZESKI, SCOTT POWERS and DONDI GRAY who all played in various bands together through out the 80's and early 90's. Aware that 3 guitar players was not necessary, GERRY STASZESKI put down the six string and took up bass for the band. The addition of KEVIN HOLMES completed the lineup, and THE BLUES HOUNDS were born.
Having all grown up together, THE BLUES HOUNDS are more of a family than anything else. THE BLUES HOUNDS are able ( and proud ) to boast that after almost fifteen years, the band has not had a single line up change.

DONDI GRAY was born in the Bronx, New York in the late sixties. At the age of eight, he and his family moved to Staten Island, New York, where he still calls home. Dondi spends most of his summers in Beach Haven West ( Long Beach Island ) New Jersey.
Dondi's earlier bands include, THE WANTED, DEAD TO RIGHTS and BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL.
Dondi isn't picky and will sing into whatever microphone is placed in front of him, although he prefers SHURE 58s.
SAL CURTO was born and raised on Staten Island, New York, and still calls it home.
Sal's influences include Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Keith Richards, Bob Dylan and the Allman Brothers.
Sal's previous bands include:
STARBREAKER, PIERCED SPIRIT, NYLO, ETC, DEAD TO RIGHTS, WILD OSCAR, and currently performs with OX 45.
Sal uses FENDER, GIBSON and MARTIN guitars. FENDER and MARSHALL and LINE 6 amps. IBANEZ, LINE 6, DUNLOP and VOODOO LAB effects.
SCOTT POWERS was born somewhere in New York in the mid sixties. He grew up on Staten Island across the street from Gerry Staszeski, and now calls Annapolis Maryland home.
Scotts previous bands include PIERCED SPIRIT, DEAD TO RIGHTS, WILD OSCAR, BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL and DECEIVER.
Scotts influences include Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Guy, and Motorhead.
Scott uses PRS, FENDER, and Gibson guitars. FENDER amps. BOSS, IBANEZ, DUNLOP, and LINE 6 effects.
GERRY STASZESKI was born in the Bronx, New York in the late sixties. By age three he and his family moved to Staten Island. In 2000 Gerry moved his own family to New Jersey.
Gerry's previous bands include STARBREAKER, BLACK STALLION, PIERCED SPIRIT and WILD OSCAR.
Gerry influences include Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Kiss, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Billy Joel, Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton.
Gerry uses FENDER, ESP, and IBANEZ basses. IBANEZ acoustic guitars. GALLIEN KRUEGER and MARSHALL amps. IBANEZ effects.
KEVIN HOLMES was born and raised in Staten Island, New York and now makes his home in New Jersey.
Kevin's prior experience includes his high school and college orchestras, jazz and marching bands, as well as freelancing for various local bands.
Kevin's influences include John Bonham, Buddy Rich, Dave Weckl, Mitch Mitchell, Simon Philips and Marco Minnemann.
Kevin uses TAMA drums. ZILDJIAN and WUHAN cymbals. VATER drum sticks
