I'm a GWM. I live in New Orleans, LA. I grew up in Latin America. My Father is from Guatemala & my Mother is from the US. After returning to the US & living in Orlando, FL. I returned to New Orleans in 1994. I bought a house in December of 2002 to cement my ties to this City.I've decided that I want to make a different impact on people ... from about 2001 I have been in the Hospitality Industry, but I am making a major change & going into the Medical field. I plan on completing my AA with a Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration. Along the way I thought I'd start off with Phlebotomy, continuing on into either an anestetician or Nuclear Medicine Tech.Either way - I plan on having FUN, learning, and enjoying the ride.

My Interests

I have a wide taste in music, tv, movies, entertainment and other various interests. I love to travel, just can't as often as I would like. Love visiting with my family in Orlando & Guatemala. Wines, dinning. I am willing to try almost anything at least once, and sometimes twice just to make sure I do like it. I am a very emotional person, very sentimental. I consider myself a romantic at heart. I am empathetic more than sympathetic. Since I am a Gemini, I pride myself on being able to view things from many angles, but I am willing to learn new angles.

I'd like to meet:

I would love to go back in time and meet some of my relatives (from 2 to 4 generations ago - both that have passed away & still living) when they were in their 20's through about their 40's.People for friendship & possibly more. Old friends to catch up. New friends with similar interests. Afterall, who can have TOO many friends? Remember, we are often judged by the friends we keep, so the MORE THE MERRIER!!

Music:

Country, Latin, Pop, Musicals (Movies & Stage Productions), some Classical, R & B, some hip hop. I don't care for Hard Rock, Punk, Grunge or Rap.

Movies:

Depends on my Mood. SciFi, Action/Adventure, Dramas, Comedies, mysteries, Romance. Not really into horror flicks.

Television:

Don't have much time for it, I try to record shows in order to watch at a later point in time. (Hopefully, before the next episode airs). Some of my favorites have gone into reruns. Smallville, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, 24, The Unit, Charmed, Dresden Files, Flash Gordon, Xena - Warrior Princess, Farscape, All Star Trek shows. (Do you notice a trend?)

Books:

Anything Star Trek, Anything Star Wars. I have read some Tom Clancy. Chicken Soup for the Ocean Lover's Soul, Saturdays with Morrie.

Heroes:

Several people I admire, some famous, some hardly known, some alive & some dead, some family members. My first hero was a class mate one grade ahead of me, while I was in Jr. High. He was an athelete, it nearly devastated me when I saw him smoking a cigarette. Thank God I've done some growing up since then. Remember two things: 'perception is reality' and everyone is entitled to their opinions.
