Look what I can do!

About Me

Words that have been used to describe me:
Artistic: I make clothes for imaginary people.
Nerdcore: I would like it very much if those imaginary people were real...specifically, Batman.
Hardcore: I'm a little confused with this one but I think it has to do with the fact that I drink both my wiskey and my coffee straight up.
Kinisthetic: "Tactile" might be more correct...I learn by touching things...a lot. I have even been known to theme my outfits based on texture.
Adorable: I think that one sort of speaks for itself.

Things I enjoy:
* Travelling
* Trying and learning new things **cliche!**
* Throwing dinner parties for friends (a theme is usually involved)
* Dancing like a white girl
* Watching ice cubes melt in hot soup
* Meeting new and interesting people **cliche!!**
* Making lists
Things I am not so Good at
* Diplomacy

My Interests

I'm not boring, I promise. But how do you list your hobbies as "People watching" without coming off as stalkerish and creepy?

This obsession often manifests itself in the form of
Costume design
Silent movies
Flea markets
Private Spaces

I'd like to meet:

Batman

Edward Wood (Bonus points if Bella Lugosi is there too)

Your Mom (I hear she's awesome)

Music:

Painfully 80s, painfully indie.

Movies:

Disney, French, Painfully Indie

Television:

I got rid of my tv recently because I was tired of "office talk" consisting entirely of what show was on last night. There are much more interesting things in this world, trust me.

Books:

I frequently go on "learning binges" in which I devour lots of books on a particular subject in an effort to supplement what passes for an education in Florida. Last binge: Existentialism. Current binge: Communism and the economic theories of Karl Marx. Howard Zinn and Noam Chompsky are starting to make their way in there too.
If we're talking about purely for pleasure: 19th century Russian writers really get my motor running, as do the works of Diana Gabaldon, Frank Herbert, Banana Yoshimoto , and Charles Bukowski. I could claim to be ecclectic but I fear that would put me in a certain niche.

Heroes:

We live in a nihilistic age.

My Blog

Top Friends, Do You Like Me, and Webcams

What's the deal with the whole "top friends" thing? I feel like I've been transported back to my elementary school playground. "Layne is my BEST friend, but Julie is my SECOND best friend...and so on....
