Ok, for those of you that dont know the story behind the name "Guddy":
Short Version:On my friends 30th birthday 5 years ago, he was drunk and was getting out of the car and said "Goodnight Guddy" a slured word combining the words Guy and Buddy. Everyone else in the car latched onto the name and suddenly, a nickname was born. Ask for the longer version.

Ramblings: Not sure what to write here, but here it goes. I live in Portland, born and raised. I love it here. Been all over the world, and no matter how great another place is/will be, Portland will always be home for me. I am presently in a great relationship with a great young women named Owen. She is my soul mate. She came into my life at the right moment and I love her very much. She makes me happy and with her I feel as though nothing bad in the world can get to me. With her, it's all okay. I work for Time Warner Cable in their Portland Call Center . My bro calls me "Time Warner Rick". So far, so good. I am not coaching swimming for the first time in 10 years...kinda weird, but things happen for a reason, right? I will be back on the pool deck at some point, just not now. Lots of other things going on.
My bro is a rock star. He and I have been through it all together. He is my best friend. Always has been and always will be. He's always there for me and I'll be there for him. He is getting married soon! I can't believe it. My little bro all grown up! I couldn't be happier. He's marrying a great person who I consider my sister. She is awesome and the 2 of them are very happy and great for each other.
My mom is one of the strongest people I know. To raise 2 boys into sucessful, well adjusted men, basically by her self through the tough years is amazing. The things she has come up against and pushed through is amazing. I learned through her what it means to never give up and to always believe things can always be worse and will get better as long as you keep pushing. I am very lucky and grateful for her.
Looking back on all this... I am a very lucky guy. :-)
