About Me
Anastasia Kimmett grew up in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. With a late start in Acting she knew that she would have to hit the ground running. She enrolled in the local acting school A.C.T. Directed by Actor Claudia Jurt and signed on with Take One Talent Management. Her first role was 'Jackie', in Vincent Lauzon's, 'Seven Days With Ivan'. She went on to act in a number of films with Director, Brett Kelly including, "The Pretty Lie" (Didgi 60 Film Festival), 'My Dead Girl Friend' (Montreal's Fantasia Film Festival), 'Kingdom of the Vampire', and 'Prey For the Beast'. She also worked as a Stand-In for Actor Amanda Detmar (What About Brian, Saving Silverman) on the film 'Proof of Lies', and as Tori Spelling's Photo Double for the T.V. Movie, 'Housesitter'. Through the month of December 2005 she worked as a rehearsal partner for Actor James Wilder, (Melrose Place) who was in Ottawa filming the T.V. movie "The Perfect Marriage".In March 2006 she met Actor Adam Beach, (Wind Talkers/Nicholas Cage, Flags of Our Fathers/Clint Eastwood, and Law and Order) who offered to mentor her. When she moved to Los Angeles, Beach generously made arrangments for her to stay with his good friend Actor Val Lauren (Dallas 360/Jeff Goldblum/Scott Caan), while she got her feet on the ground. Kimmett met with Robert Carnegie of The Play House West. The studio is owned, and run by Mr. Robert Carnegie, and Actor Jeff Goldbloom. The alumnie include Ashely Judd, James Franco, Heather Graham, Jim Carry, Scott Caan, Kristen Bell, and many more. Carnegie was a dream come true for the Actor."I didn't expect to be accepted into Mr.Carnegie's, Studio One, let alone be taught by the master himself."Her first role in Los Angeles was the hard edged prostitute in the indepentant short film "The Blue Line" directed by Bahaa Khaddaj. In the Marmont Production pilot, "Three for the road",she was cast as the spitefull Actor who tries to convince herself, and others that background performers are the true talent. She then returned to Canada , and played the rookie Crime Scene Investigator, Officer Havlock, in the film,"Donkey", written, and directed by MGM's Adrian Langley.Currently, Anastasia is in Hollywood, California, and continues to learn and grow at The Playhouse West, and is now represented by Image Management.
