Standing Hollow

Formed on June 6, 2002. Mike, Hogan, and Toby Rater got together at a renthouse in Burkburnett. The band name was decided upon about a week or so later. We rocked that house for a few months untill the cops started showing up. Then we moved out, moved on and kept on rocking!!!!!!!!!! We lost Toby around late 2003 and in stepped drummer Rick Hoban. We kept it a 3 piece playing a mix of genres including rock, alternative, funk, blues and light jazz. Will Taylor joined the band in mid 2004. We made the switch to producing only metal and rock. Nobody could stop us then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then, at summmer's end 2005, Rick Hoban had graduated collage and moved off to Big D. A great drummer, we enjoyed the experience and wish Rick the best of luck. Fortunately, Toby Rater was once again available on the drums. We wrote some new music and hit the stages hard for most of 2006. Everything was just right. Unfortunately, Will was called to duty in Sept. 2006, we miss him, are proud to have had him in the band and wish him the best of luck. Also, Toby found it nessessary to resign for personal reasons at the start of 2007. Another great drummer, we are also proud to have had Toby in the band and wish him the best of luck. STANDING HOLLOW wouldn't be what it is today without the contributions of these three musicians.After a short search we met John-Boy, a very capable guitarist. We have also recently enlisted James Gutierrez, an excellent drummer. Currently, we are working out some details and making plans to start playing again somtime in early 2007. Look for show dates to take place in Wichita Falls and Lawton. We will keep everyone posted on this site and we look forward to seeing everyone in 2007.
