I'm a speed junkie. I Love to drive and ride extremely fast. Now that I have time, I'm getting into Mountain Biking and off-roading. I like to read and write as well. I'm into films and art, yes, contrary to popular belief, I do enjoy doing cultural activities that don't include beer. I do love to go out with my friends and enjoy all that life has to offer.
Someone that will make me happy. I'm at a point in my life where I'm tired of playing games. I like to meet people that feel the same way. Someone that will be there for the good and the bad times and will never be too busy to pick up my phone call and listen to what I have to say. So no BS'ers or fake people, I know plenty already. What you see is what you get when it comes to me, good or bad everyone knows my issues & imperfections, so I expect the same from everyone around me.
Anything, except country, haha. I'm a huge fan of Trip-Hop. Anything that gets deep down to your soul. Everyone should listen to Portishead, especially their self titled album. Beautiful, totally haunting music...Huge Coldplay fan, got to see them live recently :) Hey, I was listening to them before everyone else jumped on the bandwagon. Besides that I love Interpol, rock band from NYC, great fucking music. As a matter of fact, there is a lot of really nice underground NYC rock bands, get out there and open your horizons. Still love hip-hop and reggae, but I miss the music from the early 90s. All the commercial stuff these days is crap!
Anything that makes my brain hurt and is not the same cookie cutter hollywood mainstream shit. Gotta say "Donnie Darko" is up there, great movie and great soundtrack, gotta love the 80s music. Things I've watched recently? "The Believer" "Pan's Laberynth" "The Lives of Others"...I must say that mainstream american cinema sucks big hairy monkey balls for the most part :P
I'm all about "Lost", been watching since day one. Who knows wtf is going on, but it's totally fucked up and so much fun to watch. Also love "Weeds" on Showtime, even though I'm mad at them for canceling "Dead Like Me". "Dexter" on showtime as well...wow...I have fantasies about becoming him...And yes , yes, I still like watching "Sex in the City" re-runs, a lot of guys don't give it enough credit.
I love Dean Koontz, I guess you could call it my little guilty pleasure. The man has a totally sick, twisted mind. Used to read mostly fiction, anything I can get my hands on, but lately I have been reading a lot of memoirs about fucked up people. I've read "Syrup" and "Jennifer Government", both by Max Barry, "smashed", by Koren Zailckas and "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac. Read a couple of satires by Christopher Buckley as well, funny ass shit. I finally have time to start reading again, yaaaaaaaaay!!
My parents. They came from Cuba, a land that lives in poverty because of some nutcase, and made the american dream a reality for themselves. For all the fucked shit that happens in this country, and all the stupid people that run it, there really isn't a better place to live. I appreciate every little thing I've been given in my life and I thank them.
