blackout

blackout started a couple of months ago bringing together a very experienced lineup from varied types of bands such as "viocosis," "livewire" (ac/dc tribute band), "forsaken", "the trad lads", "claddagh". we have played some short set gigs at biker rallies and decided to go for a full pub/club band for a bit of craic. this started in the "castle inn" in ardee, the gig went extremely well (a lot better than expected!) with the place packed we played everything from pink floyd to artic monkeys etc. everyone seemed to really enjoy it with plenty of reaction from the crowd. we have put a lot of work on the set list trying to keep everyone happy, and we're going to add more in december. we will start gigging properly in january with plenty of offers already in!! we'll keep you all informed of upcoming gigs. you can check out the "viocosis" myspace site which includes mickey and hugh from "blackout" along with geezer and zippy. they are an great original metal band and currently gigging around ireland with great reviews and gigs abroad already planned! blackout site will be updated soon, keep in touch!!!
