Am currently working towards my PhD at the University of St Andrews but living in Austin for a bit. My time is spent studying (Texan) chimp behaviour and comparing it with that of (Scottish) children... so as you can see I use the term 'working' very loosly. My focus is on how both chimps and children learn novel (tool-using) tasks and how these are transmitted within a group. All this is a pretentious way of saying that I sit about in the Texan sun playing with chimps.
