Being in a band is just like playing music with a bunch of other people on a semi-regular basis. Following this philosophy, Aerobi began functioning as a band mere decades after Paul Desmond's 'Take Five' hit the charts.
Following the release of Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' and the subsequent breakup of Led Zeppelin, as well as a few decades, Aerobi have been hitting Mandarin and RSL clubs alike around the Sydney area with gusto and rampant self-assurance, performing their amalgamation of juicy pop melodies and an ability to push their instruments beyond the boundaries of what is generally considered ethical, yet somehow always snapping back into familiar territory just before ending on that out-of-place half-diminished chord.
So who is this Aerobi anyway?
Put simply, Dominic Warland plays drums and leaves Timpani all over the place, Tim Yeo plays other peoples' basses through other peoples' amps, Tim Bennett broke his guitar a while ago and still hasn't got it fixed, and Michael Howell broke his electric piano earlier this year and ever since then has been coming up with increasingly questionable methods of avoiding the cost of repairs.... How rock is that?
The guys got together, and after a brief formation period, all that has been achieved is 4 massive egos, a really good rock band of epic proportions and a still unratified Kyoto protocol.
