Founded in the end of 2004 by JC (drummer in Engraved), Ninmah (then baptized Voyager) should have been a more than common thrash death band.
After trying various musicians, Mathieu (ex-Abbats) joins the band bringing with him his american thrash drumming style similar to bands such as Anthrax or Machine Head.
After a few months of musical research, the band redefines its musical direction into a crossover of Nevermore and Death inspiration.
In July 2005, Gaël (guitars) joins the band and brings with him a new influence: Swedish melodic Thrash Metal (In Flames, Soilwork, Darkane).
The three lads then build the basis of Ninmah and with the addition of Typhus(singer in Blazing War Machine and ex-Wisdom By Carnage), the band strives in creating mythological and psycho-philosophical lyrics to the music.
By september 2005 the band can start its ascension with the addition of Pascal (ex-Taberlo) to complete the line-up. With its complex identity, the band evolves in a musical style baptized “Ambiguous Thrash Metalâ€, a mix between Death Metal, Heavy Metal and Thrashcore and released a first demo entitled "Ninhursag Monsters†in 2006. During 2007, Mathieu and Pascal leave Ninmah for professional reasons. Verdo (bassist in Stonecast) rapidly joins the line-up. Still looking for a drummer, the band nonetheless continues to play live and is preparing for the recording of a first album. Stay tuned!
