Hollywoodn't is the brainchild of Dennis Looney and Eric Cattani of Anthem Film Works . The two friends and co-workers conceptualized the sitcom in 2003 at a business meeting.
Dennis approached Eric with an idea for a short film based on an experience that happened to him at a hair salon. While getting a haircut, Dennis found himself highly attracted to a beautiful, young customer in the shop. But timing prevented him from ever approaching her. Since Eric used the same salon for his own haircuts, Dennis asked Eric to inquire about the young beauty during his next visit. The results of this inquiry led to what is now Hollywoodn't, a sitcom about a team of would-be Hollywood types destined for failure thanks to their inability to gauge right from wrong.
Hollywoodn't became the project that would launch Anthem Film Works and earn it its cult status, especially in the online world. Two episodes were produced and a third is now in development. This third issue will actually become the offical pilot for the new series.
In addition to Hollywoodn't, Anthem Film Works has produced several other short films, including The Safe Inside , a psychological thriller written by AFW's Eric Cattani and featuring Diona Linardo of Hollywoodn't fame in the lead role.
