This photo was taken on May 1, 2000, somewhere in between Kingman, AZ and Laughlin, Nevada. It's several yards away from the spot where we made dinner while on a road trip from Santa Fe, NM to San Francisco, CA.This photo will be in this Zine:And here it is hanging at 111 Minna in San Francisco, along with other peeps in Cutter. The release party was fab!I enjoy: photography, music: playing guitar (badly) and going to shows, spending time with my homies, reading, wasting time, etc, mediation, yoga and filmmaking.
People who wanna buy my photos!I wanna meet people who are in love with life.I like cool geeks, people who embrace their nerdiness. I despise people who think they are cooler than thou and oh, so indie. I tend to like people who are freaky, in a good way...not in a bad way. I also believe that one should no†get tossed before sunset....especially in the winter, its bad form. I also believe that when you drink beer out of a can, it never ends well.Below in my Top Friends list, are nouns that I like and support.
really obscure indie music so I can look down on people who aren't familiar with it, just kidding. I love turning people on to new music. I grew up as a soft rock loving geek. I didn't know who AC/DC was until I was around 10 (this brought much misery and persecution onto me). I was 10 1/2 years old the first time I heard Walk on the Wild Side by Lou Reed, Because the Night by Patti Smith, Yesterday by the Beatles, Dirty Deeds by AC/DC, Call Me by Blondie, and Ironman by Black Sabbath. Shortly after that, I went to the Darkside.I hold much adoration, appreciation and on occasion, crushination (I just made that up = I have crushes on some of these bands/people). If you can tell me who I have a crush on, I'll give you a dollar:Plus these folks: hey willpower, von iva, old bjork, white stripes, joe west, blondie, glam, jazz, bop, x, missing persons, pat benatar, madonna, the go-go's, max pelta (now the late max pelta), goshen, thamusement, velvet underground, surprise me mr. davis, mix master maynie, old r.e.m., old school hip hop, old good ole fashioned cock rock, etc, etc, etc..........................
The Crowd, written and directed by King Vidor! This film rocks! Watch the innovative camera work, especially the long shot of young John Sims walking up the stairs, wondering if his father is still alive and the NYC sequence, ending with an older John Sims at his desk. It's genius, man! *SNAP*SNAP!And basically any film that Frances McDormand is in: i love todd haynes...i'm looking forward to his bob dylan flickJonathan Caouette's personal documentary, Tarnation.the apartment, the first 3/4's of girl interrupted, y tu mama tambien, Lost in Translation, The Breakfast Club, Gassssssssssssss, motorcycle diaries, bad education, thirteen, jonathan demme's manachurian candidate, born into brothels, series 7, The Tao of Steve, ....there's more, I can't just can't think of them.
Arrested Development, All in the Family, My So Called Life, Life Goes On, The L Word, Queer as Folk, LOST, Heroes, South Central (an interesting comedy on FOX in the 90's who's main character was a single mother who worked in a grocery store to support her kids...in South Central), Strangers With Candy...WEEDS!!!! I love this effin show! Seinfeld..and other stuff.
I admire anyone who through action makes this world a better place.
