Oh yet again, I find myself faced with the dilemnia of categorizing myself by the stuff I do. Ha! Okay, here goes:1984 - George Orwell - This book speaks volumes about the capabalities of greed, hegemony, and the unabated lust for power. It serves as a warning of possibilities of a totaliarianism in the extreme.Johnny the Homicidal Maniac - the best comic ever. Lenore - the other best comic everFast Food Nation The Crazy Makers, and Reefer Madness. All of these are expose's into the terribly corrupt world of mass marketing, of those food products that we ingest, and of the systems of production and shipment, that are not only appalling, but shed insight into the self absorbed, greedily strategic, companies who have the most influence on our very physical lives, as well as mental well being.House of Leaves - great novel, really creepy, one that WILL leave you in a state of reverence for quite some time. It's one of those novels that intertwines five different stories into one, in the most intricate fashion. Not to mention the odd layouts of the pages confuse you, and add to the stories bottomless depths even more. Great read. Great conversation piece.Siddartha - inspiring.Everything is Illuminated - I love this novel.Anything and everything by Dave Eggers. There are more, but these are the most definitive that I could think up for the moment. If anyone would like to make some recommendations, believe me, I'm open.
