I am here for Friends

About Me

I was born in Florida. I joined the U. S. Navy in February of 1972. I was a hospital corpsman working in labor and delivery and in the o.r. as a surgical tec. I met my husband while stationed in Newport Rhode Island in 1976. I loved my job with the military and would have remained until I retired but decided that staying home with my children was more important.I am of mixed heritage. My father was Scottish American, my mother was Native American Choctaw. I have never been able to find my mother. But I hope to find my relatives. Her spirit is with me sometimes, My father told me her last name was Davis.I never knew much about my family. The woman who raised me, made it a point to know that she did't like Native Americans and tended to make my llfe miserable. But in spite of her efforts I loved life and all aspects to it. I am one of those kinds of people that love all wildlife and think it is morally wrong to kill an animal just to kill. There is too much of that in the world as it is, I am fiercely patriotic, and saw to it that my children were taught to be the same. I sent my two daughters and one of my sons to Iraq last year. Alone with that my daughter Carries husband went also. I have four children now over ther defending the right to peace and freedom for the right to choose. I do not fear for their lives because I am also fiercely religious knowing that God has a purpose for all of them. I have already been given the knowledge that they will be returned to me safely. That is the faith that I have in God. The name ULRICA is the russian name for she wolf. I have always found the name pleasing to me and used it from time to time as a pen name.My souix daughter calls me her dreamer for I have visions in the form of dreams. My husband used to think I was crazy, and finally after too many years of predictions that came to pass, he just tells me he does not want to hear what I dream of at all. This was never odd to me even as a child, but the woman who raised me could not tolerate this about me, especially when I was always right about the dreams and the interpretation of them. Jenna was immediately at home with me and my dreams and told me that even though my parents did not want me to know myself, my spirit was too strong for them to control. I have always been a good person and will never use my gifts to hurt others, but on the other hand, some of the things I know can hurt them, so some things are better left unsaid to individuals who can only see evil in my gift of dreams. The love of my life has been horses. I love the way they move and their memory. A lot of people tell me that they are stupid animals. My dad had a saying that was true about them is "They are so smart that they are stupid." I have loved these magnificent animals since my dad put me on one when I was only four years of age. I took to it like I had been riding my entire life. I asked once if they would remove the saddle and let me go. My dad agreed to this, and when I got on, I felt as free as the horse was, and took it into the field and gave him his head. He and I moved as one, and that gallop across the field kindled a fire in my heart and my soul. Since then I have rarely used a saddle, prefering to feel the animals muscles as we moved together.. I taught my children to ride this way and told them as soon as they mastered the horse on bareback, then they could have the saddle back. I was never thrown off a horse. I have had them fall with me or buck me off, but never fallen. MY favoite horse was one I bought for four hundred dollars. She turned out to be my favorite horse. She had a wonderful personality. She liked to be ridden. On our riding day, she would greet me at the fence, with nickers or anxiety as I would approch..Once on her back she would prance and arch her neck, showing off to all the other horses just how beautiful she was. We would be gone for a four hour ride and on the way back to the ranch, we would stop off for a pizza snack. I learned early on that I had better get a pizza snack for her too. She would reach over and snatch my snack if I did not get her one. We used body language to communicate, but I believe she slso knew what I spoke to her also..She was a very special friend and I mourned her death as greatly as I mourned the death of my own parent. It took me many years to speak of her without tears of great saddness overwhelming me.Watch WellGet Your Own! | View SlideshowMy children came home safely from a war. I never had doubt that they would be kept safe. A blessing some thirty years ago was bestowed upon me. I had just given birth to my first child and hemmoraged. I needed surgery to save my life. I died on the operating table and was gone only a few minutes. During that time, I was escorted by a man who told me that I had much to do and needed to return to my life upon this earth. I remembered that I had given birth only a few hours before and said to this man that I guess he wanted me to go back to take care of this new life. He told me without hesitation that I was not being asked to return for the child, but for my husband who would not be able to remain true to his faith and his priesthood. He would fall away and my family would be desolved. After I returned here I could not see my husband for a day. When he came to see me, I knew I had to ask the question, "What would you have done if I had died and not returned?" He told me that he would have given my child up for adoption and never returned to the church. In the moments before I came back, I made the statement that I guess I needed to be there to protect my daughter. This man told me I would never need fear for any of the children that would be given to me. The Lord himself would personally watch over my children. No matter where they were, or what they were doing, no harm would befall them. Never doubt or fear for them, no matter what the circumstance would be, the Lord would be by their sides to protect and guide them. My youngest is 26 years old. There have been many accidents and situations that were dangerous and life threatening to them, and each time they have returned to me whole and happy. I know that they are being watched by divine beings and protected. I never fear or doubt the conversation I had 30 years ago. I am grateful for the peace that those words gave me and still give me even to this day.

My Interests

I love to do Geneology. I have found some great things out about my family name, and the great things some of them did for the lands they resided in. My maiden name is MONTGOMERY and my ancestors were well known and loved in their native Scotland. By doing geneolgy I found many old people who told me they had been waiting for someone to come and ask for their records. It is like they were wainting just for me to come. Interesting as that was all of these very old people died within six months after my visit to their homes. I believe that not only I was inspired to do geneology, but they were inspired to know that I was coming. It gave me a new outlook on how our families are important to each of us. They could not tell me what I was to do with the information I gathered from them but they gave it to me without a second thought. My biggest interest in life has always been horses. I eat, sleep, drink and dream horses. I have had the opportunity to own, train, breed and raise horses. So many people never get to see their dreams come true, but it happened for me. My best friends were my horses. They loved me and let me ride them. They were eager for me to take them for a trek up a mountain side. Often I would throw a bridle on them and just go for a jaunt like two people would go for an afternoon walk. They would talk to me and let all the others know I was coming. I would have all nine of them and eight mules come running with a clamor of bucks and vocal joy. My heart would be set free while I was with them.I would love to hear from people that do geneology, especially if they follow the Montgomery line. I am always eager to know more about my family name and realitives. In memory of our beloved Daughter Jenna, who passed before her time. June 2, 2005....You brought our family many gifts and talents from the Lakota nation, be with your ancestors, and we will soon be together forever.

I'd like to meet:

Most of the people I admire are dead now. There are few heros out there, and society has kept the great people of our time subdued. I can't think of anyone except perhaps Carl Sagan at this moment. He died a few years back and had some beautiful concepts about us, the human race and our trek upon this journey that we call life. He not only was an astronomer that took us through the journey of stars, but he understood that we are alien to this world. He knew we were created somewhere else and brought here to discover for ourselves who we are and live lives that matter to everyone. He knew that there were other worlds that are teeming with life on the same journey that we are on. His life was dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of life here and throughout our universe. He opened my mind to not only hear what the experts have to say, but to feel the truth when it is spoken.

Music:

I am an oldie i guess. I love the music of Queen. Great stuff. I love the Moody Blues and I know someone out there will remember them...There was even a group called ELO..Electric light orchestra. Most of the groups play versions of classical music that were great.Music has always been with me. I love all forms of music,in particular, classical and native american music.

Movies:

One thing we love as a family are Movies. I enjoy Science Fiction. I think that this genre lets our minds soar as we try to understand why we are here on this little rock. It lets us explore the limits of our imagination and allows us to become anything we want. One of my all time favorites is the Abyss. On

I have a special place for Battlestar Galactica which allows us to live many of the elements we find in the Bible etc, the tweleve tribes, the world of the Gods named Kobal [Kolob}, and the greatest of all lines......As you are, we once were, as we are, you can become....

Books:

I have always loved the srories of Alfred Hitchcock. I love mysteries, and his would always have a little twist to them at the end. I also like the warped mind of Stephen King. My favorite is "The Stand". I lowe to read books about History and culture. I also love Paleontology and archeology. I have always been intersted in the culture of the people that existed in the American continents. I would like to know more about how they existed after they were conquered. The only other writer I like is Dean Koontz. He can rival King a lot.

Heroes:

My father is my greatest hero. He overcame sickness, he overcame illiteracy, and he served two terms in the house of Representatives for the state of New Mexico, fighting for the rights of the Spanish people, to keep their lands.
