[email protected]) Although my primar education is a journalistic one - I finished University of Social Sciences in 2003 - my heart and thus the main attention are devoted to music for quite some time now. I studied drums with some of the best slovene drummers, such as Rok Plesnar, Davor Skocic and Robert Volaric (he is now an excellent crotian jazz drummer, he finished Music Conservatorium in Rotterdam/Holland) back in high-school. Later on I was being taught by Ales Rendla, a great jazz player, teacher and a member of national slovene Big Band Orchestra. A few years later Marjan Stanic was the man besides some other young top slovene drummers - the so called New Breed, as Gary Chester would say!I played in quite some slovene "all kinds of different styles" bands, such as Fu Inle (pop rock), New Sketchers Band (funk rock), Troublemakers (jazz - funk), Superlizo (funk rock), Moj Boogie Band (blues and swing) etc., but things really started happening with an art rock group called Sfiltrom, which was considered as one of the best slovene alternative and progressive rock formations (we also opened a show for legendary Jethro Tull in Ljubljana), and Katalena, a folk rock band that plays traditional slovene music with a great (international as well) success.I also did some recordings for bands called Indigo, Brin, Flu Flu, Superlizo, Melodrom, Siddharta, Madoline Orchestra etc. and participated in several theatre performances. The wild plan for the future is to explore and improve constantly, play as much contemporary music as possible, nevermind the style as long as I like it. I would really like to play some more jazz music, some hip hop and R&B, acoustic drum n' bass, lounge & chillout music, try an experiment as much as possible. There is still a very very very long way to go and so much more music to be created and played. I am really looking forward to do it!The other part of me is still a journalistic one. I write for the biggest slovene daily newspaper called Delo and its most popular and read supplement - Vikend Magazine. Mostly I do cultural and music (pop, ethno, jazz and electronica) stuff, I did numerous interviews with slovene and international stars (Andrea Corr, Living Colour, Bob Sinclar, Paul Oakenfold, David Morales, Eric Prydz, Dream Theatre, Katie Melua, Zucchero, Apocalyptica, Jennifer Batten - the famous Michael Jackson guitar player, Habib Koite, Backstreet Boys, Gibonni, Vlatko Stefanovski, Tose Proeski, Tereza Kesovija, Mihail Parushev, DJ Umek, Valentino Kanzyani, The Elevators, Laibach, Melodrom, Terrafolk, Rozmarinke, Schatzi, Shyam, New Swing Quartet, Vlado Kreslin, Nusa Derenda, Natalija Verboten, Dan D, Res Nullius, Bast, Ego Malfunction, Elvis Jackson, Omar Naber, Siti hlapci, Gusti, Silence, Peter Lovsin, Sukar, Sank Rock, Planet Groove etc.) and I also do some record reviews from time to time. I guess I could say I do music from both sides and I really enjoy that. I just hope it lasts on and on and on and...on!I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
