Raisin

My name is Chocolate Covered "Raisin" and I am a Chinese Shar pei. I am six years old and I have a wonderful Mommy and Daddy who took very good care of me. Mommy decided to give me my own account so I could make some new friends and to show people how much they love me.
Anyways, I was born in Alabama and was brought all the way to Tennessee so my Mommy and Daddy could adopt me. Boy, was I glad they did! You see, I was from a litter of seven and the old man who owned us didn't take care of me and my brothers and sisters very well. We were all covered in fleas from head to tail and we were all thrown in a dirty van where we piled up on top of each other because we were so scared. At first Daddy was afraid to adopt me because he wasn't for sure that I would survive. What he didn't know was that I wasn't going to survive without him. Well, Mommy wanted me really bad, so I was adopted that day. I was rushed to the groomers for a bubble bath and flea dip and than when I was nice and pretty, I was taken to my pediatrician to get checked out. Everything went well, but I was sad that I had to leave my brothers and sisters behind. Mommy and Daddy would have adopted them all if they could have.
I had a great life with my Mommy and Daddy. They spoiled me rotton! My favorite play toys were my squeaky toys and raw hide bones. I also loved to play with clothes hangers and toilet paper. I was on a strict diet, but sometimes Mommy and Daddy gave me treats. Saltine crackers and mac and cheese were my favorites!
I used to get sick alot, but Mommy and Daddy always took me to my pediatrician and gave me alot of TLC until the day I got really sick because my kidneys hurt me so bad and I wasn't getting any better.
I left my Mommy and Daddy in March OF 2006 and crossed the Rainbow Bridge and now I am in Heaven. Though I miss my Mommy and Daddy bunches, I really like it here. There are lots of birds and flowers and butterflies. Lots of pretty things! And it gives me the chance to watch over my Mommy and Daddy like they watched over me.
