That kid is BACK on the escalator!!

About Me

MC Chris rants on Resident Evil, Kingdom Hearts etc...Fuck NASCAR.This is racing.THIS is MOTO GP.This is Moto GP Laguna Seca,CA 2008. It's a fan video of "the Doctor" aka "Vale" Valentino Rossi for Yamaha in a duel with Casey Stoner for Ducati. Plain and simple these guys dusted the rest of the field and went at each other tooth and nail, banging and scraping for 22 of the 32 laps. I believe the music is a track an Italian band put together to celebrate Rossi...already a 7-time world champion and already regarded as possibly the greatest motorcycle racer ever. Laguna is known as a tight, technical course - the .8 liter bikes only get up to a top speed of 160+ here...Rossi averaged 98 mph per lap. Enjoy!***And THIS IS THE TOUGHEST ROAD RACE IN THE WORLD: THE ISLE OF MAN TT. Time Trial that takes place on the streets of the Isle of Man. No Runoff, speeds up to 170+, inches from walls, curbs and the crowds, one of the most dangerous races in the world.bostonuk.com says the origin and meaning of my name are: Conan Brave : Teutonic Intelligent and wise : Celtic "Balanced and fairminded you possess the ability to use sound reason and judgement when determined and decisive action is required. Persuasive and logical you tend to be an influential figure in your circle of friends and associates. You are extremely adaptable and this is necessary as you seem to be continually being presented with decisions of a life altering nature."Which I do indeed seem to be, at the moment. I won't go into it, but you can gather clues from other stuff on here. Currently I'm working for one of the networking companies in the area, having survived the great tech purges of 2000 and on. I'm a Worldcom/Bernie Ebbers survivor, have made it through 20 rounds of layoffs at last count, and am REALLY hoping there's no more of that coming down the pipe. I support managed network services, which means I assist people in restoring network connections, on a national and sometimes international level, so that they can do their jobs, or surf porn. I'm a huge baseball fan, but with family from both New York and Massachusetts, I was a little torn on whom to swear my allegiance. I've followed the Red Sox for years, but admit to being an Oakland A's fan since McGwire's rookie year. I got into the Sox more through my brother and family mostly, and have joined the fold, pre-2004. I'm not hardcore, but I am old-school due to family connections. I follow the Durham Bulls and UNC baseball to some degree, and am organizing a few trips to the DBAP this year. I get some grief from the family for moving down here to the South, but frankly, the weather is nicer, people are friendly and in general the area has lived up to its billing. I've been in Chapel Hill for about 7+ years now, which is scary to think about, but hey, though it has its problems, it's a pretty cool little town. It has some issues, but it has its attractions as well. I'm fond of certain shops and bars in town, and chances are you've run into me here or there. I work from 3pm-midnight, so if you see me rolling around for coffee around 2ish or rolling into a bar at midnight or so, well, I'm either starting or have just finished my day. Coffee, beer, baseball and bikes: staples of life!Marah Live in Nottingham,UK - voted concert of the Year in the UK 2006 - Springsteen at Hammerstein was second.Playing Local 506 in Chapel Hill July 28 (?)....bestselling author Nick Hornby (High Fidelity, About a Boy), who once said of Marah (in the NY Times), "I can hear everything I ever loved about rock music in their recordings and live shows." See for yourself what he's talking about.tune 10 : Round Eye Blues
