Cellebrate was formed in 2005 and recorded its first demo during December 2005. Numerous live appearances in Athenian clubs followed (AN club, UNDERWORLD club, RODEO club) as well as open-air concerts. In January 2007 Cellebrate recorded their second demo titled “I Asked for Waterâ€. Although not totally indicative of the bands personal musical style, influences from Mastodon, Isis and Neurosis can be heard as well as traces from more “old-school†bands such as Metallica and Black Sabbath. Cellebrate’s demo was well received by various critics, the highlight being a favorable review of the latest demo which was titled “demo of the monthâ€, as well as a band’s interview in the musical magazine “Metal Hammer†(issue 273, September 2007). Cellebrate intend to start recording their first album in February 2008, with Fotis Bernardo (Septic Flesh-drums) and Costis Raisis (Leaving Tomorrow-bass) as their producer. The band’s goal is to release an album and, in addition, it aims at touring in order to promote its work. Cellebrate is now in search of a music label with which to sign a contract.
