I hate the Giants. (San Francisco, not New York. I've got nothing against the New York Giants. Except that they're called Giants. And while that term automatically brings me into a state of biased hatred, I really can't fault the New York Giants for being stuck with a name that in my opinion is synonimus with "evil" and "crap." Not that the words "evil" and "crap" are synonimus in and of themselves, but when linked by the word "Giants," they become synonimus. Also, for the record, the singular word "Giant" does not upset me. It is simply the plural form of the word that I loath. So in my presence, one could say, "Barry Bonds in a giant ass." And I would be fine. However, saying, "The Giants are in first place in the National League West," would set me off like a fire cracker. I hope this has cleared up what it means when I say, "I hate the Giants."
Stephen Sondheim, George Lucas, Tommy Lasorda (acheived on 9/17/05), The Barenaked Ladies, Jon Stewart, Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof.
Yes: I like showtunes. No: I'm not gay. To make up for it, I'm also a big fan of Barenaked Ladies. I used to like to play the piano, but lately I've been trying to learn guitar. It's a frustrating process, but strangly soothing.
I'm a child of the Star Wars generation. But I love movies of all kinds. I seem to retain random facts about movies that I've seen. I quote them all the time, even if it's for my own benefit. It's really fun when I randomly quote a movie, and Melissa has no idea what I'm talking about (since she hasn't seen most of the good quotable movies; including The Goonies), and she looks at me like I'm a nut. Those are good times.
Shows I love: Lost, Heroes, 24, Firefly, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Deadwood, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Rome, & Drawn Together
As I said before, I'm a child of the Star Wars generation. So I've read a lot of the Star Wars novels. Melissa recently got me hooked on Harry Potter. I'm currently reading Stephen King's Dark Tower series. I like anything that's epic in scale.
Norbert Leo Butz. Saw him live and I just have to say, "FABULOUS!" (I know. Shut up.) Best performance I've ever seen. Bar none. Also, Peter Petrelli - That dude's the SHIT!!!!
