It all started long ago. . . .
When Dom (Drummer) and Rob (Lead Guitarist) were little kids just starting, out on their instruments a band was formed known as “Krimson Chiefâ€, which wasn’t really taken any further than the practise room, due to lack of bass and vocal parts. However, this long period of Dom and Rob simply jamming along in the practise room has really benefited how the guitar and drum parts link together.
Then, Rob and Dom thought it was time to start a search for a bassist, resulting in Tom Cable joining the band. Krimson Chief then gained a vocalist for a brief period causing the band to be renamed to “Inmatesâ€. The sound back then was more punk-rock than anything.
They then got rid of their (gimp) vocalist meaning it was back to the ‘Rob, Dom and Tom’ line up. The three then decided to rename to “One Man Downâ€.
After a few months without a vocalist, the band members then began listening to heavier bands such as Bullet for my Valentine, Trivium and Slipknot, which obviously resulted in the band’s sound becoming heavier. They then gained their vocalist who was also into metal by then, and this lead to the band becoming metal because of the bands that influenced them. They then renamed again, becoming the band we know now, LEGENDS DIE!
Rich (Vocalist) left pretty soon after joining for various reasons. However this problem was overcome by Rob taking over from backing vocals to lead vocals and then Beren Jackson stepping in as second guitarist.
The sound is now metal with a slight hardcore influence. There are hard hitting drum beats, ripping guitar riffs, heavy bass lines and screaming vocal parts with some pretty melodic singing.
They are now writing a completely new set and aim to be playing live for you lot by Summer 08.
During the period of writing, they also aim to record a 4/5 Track EP.
