I grew up at a farm with my 'grandparents' who weren't my real grandparents but raised my mother aswell and when she died when I was 6 years old they took me under their big and loving wings.
I have 3 grown up children, girl 32, girl 28 and a boy 24 and they have made me a proud grandma 6 times!!!
When I was in my thirties a lot of things changed in my life. I got divorced, I took a ceminar in office technolity, I started working at an office, uptil then I had been working ,mostly, in a fishfactory. So that was a big step. I moved from the small fishing village I had lived in for appr. 20 years and went to ReykjavÃkur were I've been since then.
During these changes I discovored heavy metal rock, and I can tell you my teens weren't very happy about that, in stead of listening to Geirmund or Bjögga I blasted AC/DC, Gun's 'n Roses, Nirvana and Deep Purple, and their friends mom's didn't do that. But deep down I think they were a little proud of their 'cool' mama.
I'm not a musician, unfortunatly, but music is a big part of my life. I can't work unless listening to some music, the more I need to constantrade, the more I need a music.
I'm not an music expert in any way, I don't analise or memorise the names of bandmembers or the lyrics - I just ENJOY!!!!!!!!!
I started watching Rock:Star Supernove like most Icelander's to see how our boy ,Magni, would do in compearisment with the 'best of the best', I was a little unsure at first, got a little silly chill, thought like most, including Magni himself, he'd last a week or two, but boy was I wrong, he so totaly won me over!!!!! And the longer the show was on the better he got !!!!
So here I am, feeling kinda young again, until I look in the mirror :-) just loosing it over some bald headed rocker and my kids are shaking their heads, again !!!!!!!
