About Me

I'm a lot of things, but sometimes I'm not sure what those things are anymore. It changes from day-to-day sometimes. Outside of that, I don't know what to tell you.
I guess I should come up with something. So. About me:-I'm a smart-ass and sometimes too blunt and honest for my own good. -I look better in my pictures than I do in real life. -I'm a bit of a nerd (I'm into video games/scifi-fantasy books and movies/etc). -I'm not terribly girly at all. I don't wear cute clothes, I don't know how to doll myself up terribly well. My sense of humor is very guy-like, as is some of the way I operate in everyday life. -I'm like a male lesbian stuck in a straight girl's body. That's the best way I can describe myself overall. -I don't like Chinese food, nor do I like bands like Metallica. -I'm awesome. What more is there to say?

I'd like to meet:

I'm not really looking for anyone in particular. I use this to keep in touch with my friends and that's about it.And while I might not be looking for anything in particular, I am kind of sure I know some of the things I'm not looking for. So:-Not just looking for a hookup, sorry. I can't enjoy myself unless I've been mentally stimulated, and one night stands and things like that are incapable of providing that for me. -If your greatest pride of the moment is the fact that you have a nice car, don't even bother. Seriously. Because I don't care. -Please be fond of reading and/or history or things like that. Magazines don't count. I'm talking actual books. -Being creative is a plus; being a condescending asshole is not.

Heroes:

My mother. I mean, she managed to allow me to live past puberty, so that in itself is a feat. But she's managed to remain positive and wholly herself despite the shit life hands her on a regular basis. She's strong, very no-nonsense, and in many ways is someone I hope to be more like as I grow up.

My Blog

We’re just breakable, breakable, breakable girls and boys.

I feel like i have had the longest few weeks ever. I blame it on having a day off last weekend and having one of the best days I've ever had. It made this week that much longer because I've been thoro...

I’m always where / I need to be / I always thought I would end up / with you eventually

I hate starting entries with "Haven't updated in a long time," but I'm fairly sure this is true. I can't think of the circumstances surrounding my last post, but that's because I'm not even sure when ...

Hm. Trying to post this has taken several tries. Blast.

I am amazed at how people react to things. I mean, on one hand, yes, I'll admit to being too blunt and not doing my normal job of editing and rewriting my Myspace messages over and over to make sure w...

Well, it seems I've been a soldier; Heaven knows I've been no saint...

I forget sometimes how much I love Edwin McCain's music. "Take Me" is great. Kind of sad, but good. Also, I have this serious love of the Mountain Goats. ("If You See The Light," "No Children," and "L...

I guess cross-posting would be appropriate.

I wrote this last night in my livejournal, so a handful of you might have read it:There is darkness, and there is darkness. I wish I could explain the depth of black I saw today, and the sheer measure...

On annoyance and stupidity-prevention

It's Tuesday, as many people are aware. I have nothing against Tuesdays, but as a Tuesday, it means the week has barely started. And since the week began, I have gotten six spam messages in my Myspace...

On jerks, music, desks, and laundry.

Okay, I should get this out of the way first: Kevin Marshall is a big jerk. I've had "Hungry Like the Wolf" stuck in my head for hours. What the hell? Seriously. Ever since he sent me a link to a yout...

Tired, weird, and could use a hug.

I can't tell you how glad I am that work is over today. It's been a weird and long day, and I'm just done. Given the way the end of the day went, I was glad to not be working my other job as well.It's...
