About Me

Danny Gardner began his career as a teenaged stand-up performer in his hometown of Chicago. At nineteen, he achieved early success on the second season of HBO's Def Comedy Jam alongside contemporaries Tracy Morgan, Dave Chappelle and Chris Tucker. This was followed by his acting debut in the urban contemporary comedy "How U Like Me Now". He then moved to Los Angeles where he worked on several television pilot projects and acted in comedian driven features such as "House Party 3".

In 2003, Danny completed his first screenwriting and feature directing project "5150 - The Disappearance of Donnie Bishop". Now a very successful home video title by Silver Nitrate Entertainment/Newmarket Films, IFP West sponsored sales activities at the 2003 American Film Market resulting in licensing deals for domestic theatrical, home video and pay cable rights. A re-release is planned in 2007 involving international home video distribution to english-speaking territories.

He continues to perform stand-up at clubs and events nationwide.
