John Massey

I grew up in Louisville KY where I started playing bass at 14. Moved to Nashville at 21 and spent ......a long time there. That's where I grew up musically. While in Nashville I played and toured with a whole bunch of people. Have now been in LA for 2 yrs (it has gone VERY fast) and am just workin my thang. Currently playing with The MVP's as my main gig, and also play whatever else I can get my hands on. Have just recently gotten my home studio the way I want it so I'm also playing sessions from home. Technology is a wonderful thing!!! MAKE SURE you check out Michael Elsner's record "Stained Voodoo". I played on all of the tunes but one and co-wrote 3. At the LA Music Awards, "Stained Voodoo" won 'Best New Instrumental Record'. Very cool I thought. Look for Stained Voodoo gigs in early '07. We're gonna have some fun!!!!!!
