MyGen Profile Generator MyGen Profile GeneratorHi xx I'm a singing guitar player who performs my favourite songs, some of your favourite songs and, of course, my own songs. I've always wanted to become an accomplished musician and performer, or infact, an accomplished anything, but I'm lazy, easily distracted and easily discouraged. I'm a slow worm. Therefore, I'm fairly new to the solo scene and far from accomplished but I'm quite proud of where I am right now considering my personality handicaps. I play my own versions of some of my favourite songs, mainly born out of the 90s, on a nightly and sometimes afternoonly basis at a mixture of venues all over Nottingham, Leicester, Derby, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Sheffield. I sing for The Jays duo every Wednesday at Saltwater in Nottingham and from late Septemember The Jays will play every Tuesday at a bar opening soon in Sheffield. I am lucky enough to get paid for playing my own material on random Friday evenings at Saltwater and the occasional small festival here and there. I take every opportunity to play my own stuff as it's not only great practice but you get a lot of feedback and positive critisism. It forces me into thinking harder about the music I am trying to create and how I perform it because there are some excellent musicians and performers out there with fun, original ideas and I'm envious of their drive to put their creativity in action. I don't feel it's my time yet, so I'm going to spend a lot longer working hard on my songs and performance before I will feel it is 100% audience worthy. My idea of what is audience worthy is somebody like Steve Tyler. Michael Jackson or Paul Weller so I've got some hardcore work on my hands for the time being. I'm loving it though and when I do finally create an album, I'll be letting you know all about it. Make no mistake about that xx
