About Me

Who i WANT to be ~One who LIVES this:May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us. ~Mother Teresa~And this:no matter what i say, what i believe, and what i do, i'm bankrupt without love~Love never gives up~ Love cares more for others than for self~ Love doesn't want what it doesn't have~ Love doesn't strut~ Doesn't have a swelled head~ Doesn't force itself on others~ Isn't always "me first"~ Doesn't fly off the handle~ Doesn't keep score of the wrong-doings of others~ Doesn't revel when others grovel~ Takes pleasure in the flowering of Truth~ Puts up with anything~ Trusts God always~ Always looks for the best~ Never looks back~ But keeps going to the end. ~I Corinthians 13~..src="http://content.pimp-my-profile.com/support2.gif" style="position:absolute;left:0px;top:0px" alt="MySpace Layouts" /

My Interests

Relationship with God, spending time with family and friends, singing and listening to music, brcc worship, being introspective, learning new things, church, internet, podcasts, reading, my job, walking, traveling, some crafts...

I'd like to meet:

Anyone!

Music:

brcc worship, Kirk Baxley & Mother's Anthem, paco estrada, Jesse Dominguez & Deep Fried Sexy, Nothing More, Dave Barnes, John Mayer, Josh Groban, Matt Redman, Ben Folds, Brian Mc Night, Chris Daughtry, Rhythm, MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Bebo Norman, Brandon Heath, Meredith Andrews, Darlene Zschech, Flyleaf, Skillet, Kelly Clarkson, Carry Underwood, Dropping Daylight, Coldplay, U2, Beatles, James Taylor, Bread, Carpenters and other "Oldies" (probably 'cause I know most of the words ;o), almost anything instrumental~especially w/acoustic guitar, classical~orchestral, praise/worship, some country, some choral....a great variety....pretty much anything except rap, heavy metal and operatic vocal, which I can appreciate only because I used to sing it in college, so I know what it takes to DO it, but I don't like to listen to it. (Joel told me recently that i used to make them listen to my recital tapes to discipline them when they did something wrong, but i think he lies...where IS that senior recital tape? For lying, I'll play it right now! ;o) Lyric meaning is very important to me, and I love the miracle of harmony.

Books:

I don't like to read.......j/k...Ha-Ha! How ironic would that be? A librarian that doesn't like to read....I read a LOT, both due to my job and at home for personal growth and pleasure. Most of the time, I read multiple books at the same time and switch back and forth between them, sorta like changing TV channels. Right now I'm reading Heaven is Real: Lessons on Earthly Joy-from the Man Who Spent 90 Minutes in Heaven, The Art of Forgiving: When You Need to Forgive and Don't Know How and A Course in Miracles and Christianity: A Dialogue. Since I got my iPod, I've been listening to podcasts of Matt Chandler's messages at http://www.thevillagechurch.net/resources/sermons.html a lot these days. Matt's my favorite, but they can't put 'em up fast enough for me, so I also listen to Ben Stuart of Breakaway Ministries (A&M Bible Study), Andy Stanley. Rob Bell and Willow Creek.

My Blog

Hope in Real Life

From Matt Chandler's message on May 25th....Joy in God will always be mixed with sorrow here. Here's why, 'cause that's how love works. Let me try to explain it like this: We, who believe in Him, will...
