About Me

Well, let's see. I guess it's time for another update. I just moved out to SV a few months ago and time has flown by. My new job is ok. It keeps me busy. I have to admit that I'm not liking this town very much. Don't get me wrong I'm glad to be around some of my old Army buddies. I've made some great new friends too, but there's just nothing to do here. I try to keep in touch with most of my friends, but unfortunately that's not always easy. Most of them are still in the Army, and of course scattered all over the world. Wish I was still in sometimes, but other times I'm glad to be a civilian. I sometimes do things just because I can, and I hate being told that I can't do something. That's the first way to get on my bad side, but it's also the best way to get me to do it. I love a challenge. I'm very passionate, be it for bad or for good. This contributes to my temper, so don't piss me off. If I care about something or someone you'll know. I'm very loyal to my friends and also somewhat old fashioned about my relationships. I guess I'm an idealist. My Interests

I love most kinds of music, and I'm working on a degree in Middle Eastern Studies. I love to read, but I usually don't have enough time. I enjoy hanging out with friends and going out on the weekends.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Mostly Alternative and Rock. I also have a pretty big collection of Classic Rock and anything that was decent in the 90's. Lately I've been listening to a lot of Sixx A.M., Death Cab for Cutie, Seether, and my all time favorite Live.

Movies:

I like a lot of movies, just don't like anything too scary...gives me nightmares :( I mostly watch dramas and crime mysteries. I even dig lots of old westerns. I watch Home Alone every year on Thanksgiving(something my brother and I started as kids.) I love a good war movie too.

Television:

The Office and Heroes(Scrubs is pretty funny too). And I can watch CSI all day. Let me clarify, CSI Las Vegas. Miami is CRAP!

Books:

I don't get too much time to read. I like Historical Fiction for the most part. My fave author is Morgan Llywelyn. I'm rereading Phillip Pulman's Dark Trilogy. I've read most of the Classics at one point or another and all of Shakespere's works. I like all kinds of stuff though.

Heroes:

All who choose to serve their country and lay down their lives for freedom, because freedom has never been free! Moms who teach their daughters that they are beautiful and loved no matter what, especially single moms. Oh, of course my mom too. :) Dad's who make their little girls the center of their worlds, and make sure their daughters know it.
