About Me

I live in LA and I play the viola and write music. And sometimes I dig holes in the desert for geological companies. If I didn't play viola and write music so much, I would also paint and read and write books. And sometimes if you ask really nicely I'll play the violin. And I have a new motto for life. It's 'less coffee, more sake'. And particularity brings me pleasure.

My Interests

Music: music-making, music exploring, music listening, music composition, music innovation, and music improvisation. Seeing the world: people watching, traveling, camping, hiking, being in cities, seeing mountains from afar, seeing far from mountain-tops, enjoying and observing the location which I am in, wherever that happens to be. People: meeting them, having known them for a very long time, having them over as guests, watching them as a spectator, watching them as a participant, and interacting with them. Drinking: tea, espresso, juice, and alcohol (especially wine). Sitting: reading, listening, watching, existing, talking, smelling, and being still. Constructing: lists, paintings, compositions, decorating, cooking, making things look nicer than they did. Thinking: just thinking.

I'd like to meet:

people and cats, and maybe others too.

My Blog

The day after yesterday

So, I'm having a problem. It's a problem called productivity - not that I'm lacking it, but rather, that I have too much to say. I've been writing music for three and four hours every night,...
