Living life one day at a time...

About Me

I am just a girl that likes to have a good time anywhere I am. I love to dance, listen to music, and watch lots of movies and too much TiVo. I spend much of my free time cuddling with my dogs and cats, and try to spend as much time as possible with family and friends. On a serious note: I lost my father in August 2006 and since then my life has changed so much. After years of working multiple jobs, I decided to slow things down a bit and cut back to one job so that I could concentrate on the things in life that matter the most...family, friends, my furry (and non-furry) babies. I didn't have enough time to be with my dad for a long time and now I can't ever get that time back. I miss him so much. I try to remember to live in the present as much as possible because I know now that it is all temporary. Sorry to be such a downer...on to more positive stuff:I am currently a Veterinary Technician Chicago Veterinary Emergency Services. I have been there almost 7 years...and although it can be stressful, I absolutely love the people I work with and the work that I do! I have decided to go for my certification in Veterinary Technology since I really enjoy this field.Last year I was given the opportunity to monitor a Beluga calf named Bella at The John G. Shedd Aquarium/Oceanarium in Chicago. It was an amazing experience. She is so adorable. I miss watching her! She was born on July 17, 2006 and I started watching her a week later. Unfortunately, the position could only be temporary and ended after she was old enough to need less monitoring, but I left with so many memories and hope to be back in there volunteering again, soon!
