My Interests

I love all things Art Deco. I like going to the theatre, cinema, just going out and about, eating out, people watching, music - anything from opera to funky house, reading, current affairs, travelling, socialising with friends, wandering around markets, or just wandering around in general, bookshops, I do a mean roast.

I'd like to meet:

Always interested in meeting new people - for friendship. JÃºst like books, yoÃº can never have too many friends. Looking for people who can make me smile & can make me laugh so much I cry, but those who can challenge & stimulate my mind. Nothing better than a good old discussion over a drink, or just being plain silly. People who laugh from their belly, love genuinely & have integrity, as is a mischievous twinkle in their eye. I do not like bad manners, inflexible people, control freaks, unjustified smugness. You must be honest - with yourself and others. Other than that I think I..m easily pleased.

Music:

Eclectic collection of music, indie, 80's, 90's, pop, trashy, dance, funky house. Here are a few of my current favourite bands: The Fray, The Kaiser Chiefs, Mika, Just Jack, Gwen Stefani , Snow Patrol, Killers, Fratellis, Razorlight, Arctic Monkeys, Klaxons, The Feeling, Velvet Underground, Nico, Stone Roses.

Movies:

World cinema, thrillers, scary movies, horror, action, Willy Wonka (the original with Gene Wilder), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Libertine, The Astronaut's Wife, Sleepy Hollow, The Rocky Horror Show, The Lion King, Monsters INC, The Incredibles, Brief Encounter, Mullholand Drive anything with Johnny Depp.

Television:

Colombo !! Gotta get my weekly fix of that raincoat !!! Prisoner Cell Block H. I tend to watch BBC News 24 (mainly to check out the wonderful outfits if the female news presenters - much entertainment to be had there to be sure to be sure) and the music channels on Sky.

Books:

Thomas Hardy, Paulo Coehlo, Dostoevsky, Dan Simmons, Terry Pratchet, sci-fi, fantasy, Any great works of literature, Crime, Mary Shelley, Arthur Conan Doyle, Bram Stoker The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, anything that makes me think, anything that makes me laugh,
