Born Masrur Hoque in June 1990. Originally Masrur's forefathers originate from Bangladesh. Masrur's artist name comes from his surname 'Hoque' which means 'Truth'. Living all his life in the East End of London, growing up in a council estate he knew exactly what was wrong with the youth. Later his parents decided to move away as he was being influenced by the wrong crowd; still residing in East London he saw music and poetry as a form of inspiration. Graduating and receiving excellent education from Brondesbury College (Chairman - Yusuf Islam), at the age of 13 he mastered the art of poetry including all the language frameworks and decided to take up rapping as a way of inspiring the youth with his words. Masrur has worked in Soho Recording Studios on a sound engineering course, working alongside some of the best producers in the UK. Having worked in the top studio in London, he also has a natural talent in writing lyrics about his surroundings; mostly it is based on Islam. Having strong opinions about the youth, he is keen and interested in delivering people the problems the youth are facing. Some might say the problems are very obvious, including the solutions; however solutions are not being implicated. He believes the youth need a voice, a strong voice, so he decided to form a group called 'Truthful Movement'. This group includes himself & Emperor. Moving on, having a natural talent in rapping, and proving that he can also present his work by his outstanding performances, he wishes to carry on with his work in the coming future (Insha'Allah). Performing alongside Blind Alphabetz, Mecca2Medina, Blakstone, Masikah, Quest-Rah and Scarab with the other half of Truthful Movement (Emperor). Currently working with many well known artists including underground artists.
