On The Rise
LADY BLAK
Smooth and sultry are two of the many words used to describe the vocals of up and coming artist, Thessa aka "Lady Blak". Born and raised in Sulphur, Louisiana, she began her professional music career at the age of 16 when she became a songwriter for producers Ken Turner of KQT Music and Banae, and a feature vocalist local rap acts, Wicked World and Die-A-Menace. In 2002, she decided to pursue becoming a solo artist, and relocated to Houston, Texas. Since then, she has worked with two of the hottest producers out of H-town, Myke "DIESEL", and Oz. As well as, one of Bad Boys' remix producers, SKOL. She has been a featured vocalist for rappers; G-Stak, Lil Troy, T2, 32, Pop, Master P, Silkk the Shocker, Krazy, and Slay Sean. She has also recorded background vocals for former Def Jam recording artist, CASE and recently pened 8 songs for the self titled debut album SYMPHONY to be released by King Empire Records in 10/2007. Presently, Lady B is a member of the H-town based girl group, BellaDonna Blaze and is well on her way to leaving her mark as a talented and successful singer/songwriter in the music world.
