Keith Mayes A.K.A. DJ AMAZING
BIOGRAPHY
Was brought into the world by Virginia Coleman on April 11,1981. Born and raised in Beaumont,Tx for 19 years, DJ AMAZING relocated to Houston,Tx by the year 2001.He was always into music since he was a child. At the age of 11 he began taking piano lessons,and quickly moved ahead of the bunch.His piano teacher said "he is a walking encyclopedia of music talent."
By the time he reached middle school, he joined the band and played the trombone. He always earned first chair,and quickly made the 8th grade band, as a 7th grader. He first started off rapping in 1999 with his close friend Latoya Pommier. They would drive to Lafeyette at least once a month to meet with Latoya's uncle Daranee Pommier(DJ D-Nice A.K.A. H-towns remix king) who would have them do freestyle for his mix tapes. Instead of just sitting around DJ Amazing would closely sit and watch D-Nice every moves and asked him if he would teach him how to DJ. DJ Amazing took the knowledge that he learned from D-Nice, saved up enough money and quickly brought a pair of his own Turntables and spent countless hours practicing.
By the Summer of 2006 he hooked up with Anthony Moore A.K.A. T-Moe,who is the owner of the S.W.A.T. Shop. They began making mixtapes.The word around the neighbor hood quickly began spreading that a new mix tape circuit had began. He has different volumes of rap mixes,and also has a volume of r&b mixes called Slow Rides,which are screwed and chopped. By the beginning of the year of 2007 he hooked up with Eric(DJ Finesse) who began to show DJ Amazing how to rock a club. He would follow Eric to every club he did, and Eric would show him many things. Eric then gained trust into DJ Amazing and later let him open up the show for him,to gain more actual experience,and get heard. The word quickly spread and DJ Amazing had got his first DJ job at Club Glo. He then proceeded that and never looked back.
