About Me

My name is Simon and I am an entrepreneur entering the film/video realm. There are two parts of Simonese productions. There is the more narrative end that is purely focused on narratives typically having to do with people, the human psyche and relationships. However, I don't want to put a limit on that specific, set genre. In addition to the creative side of film, I also am always open to being a producer/assistant director for other productions that are not my own. I am very solid at organizing a creative effort, making sure everything is going to plan in an efficient and timely manner. Finally, I am a skilled editor.The second part of Simonese Productions is a video business aimed at the production of corporate videos that consist of training, advertising and other information specific companies feel they need in a video format. This part is in the early stages, so it is limited in that there is still planning and equipment needed to get it off the ground.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

Film, music and all other art forms.

I'd like to meet:

Fellow filmmakers, producers, actors, various people interested in getting into the film industry, musicians, artistic people, your run-of-the-mill movie lover or just any cool people who like to talk. I would also love to meet my heroes in film: Woody Allen, Kevin Smith, Richard Linklater, Quentin Tarentino, Vincent Gallo, Cameron Crowe and Martin Scorsese among others.I also would like to meet companies that are interested in having videos made whether they want a safety, training or instructional video. At the moment, I can't do a full-fledged production due to lack of equipment, but if you have the video, I'd be happy to edit it for you.

Music:

As strange as it sounds, heavy metal for the most part. I feel heavy metal has the most to say in the world today and is the only one with any balls, but unfortunately, it is the least appreciated. I also like other genres too though, such as classical, progressive, plus I am a huge fan of Beck and Fiona Apple among many others.

Movies:

This could go a mile long, so I'll just name a few. Buffalo 66, Almost Famous, Cinema Paradiso, the Station Agent, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Elephant, The Bicycle Thief, American History X, Ghost World, American Beauty, The Green Mile, Do the Right Thing, Fight Club Kevin Smith films, Woody Allen films, Wes Anderson Films, Richard Linklater films, Quentin Tarentino films and most films by the Coen brothers.

Television:

Not a big fan of TV. I do like some of the premium stuff though, like Dexter, Sopranos, Six Feet Under and Curb Your Enthusiasm. However, I must say I find most of it repetitive. Maybe someday I'll try to put my head into TV; I do have an idea.

Books:

Without Feathers, Catcher in the Rye and many film-related books.

Heroes:

Woody Allen, Rob Halford, Albert Einstein and Alice Cooper. Numerous others as well.
