God
wow....you shouldnt have asked that....probably the most influencial are the Beatles, Flogging Molly, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Damien Rice, Dave Matthews Band, Morrissey and The Smiths, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Cure, Tenacious D, The Dead Pets, Panic! at the disco, Oasis, Goo Goo Dolls, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, The Man in Black (aka Mr. Johnny Cash), Metallica, Iron Maiden, Billy Joel, Styxx , Nine Inch Nails, Fiona Apple, Bob Dylan, The Pogues, Steve Miller, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The White Stripes, Cranberries, I also listen to quite a bit of Punk on XM Radio and alot of classic rock.
Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, Help and A Hard Days Night by the Beatles, V for Vendetta, Dogma, Clerks, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Office Space, Shaun of the Dead, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Princess Bride, Monty Python, Old Marilyn Monroe movies, The Wall, Hot Fuzz.
I can actually afford cable again! Now, I watch alot of news, though it often makes me angry to see whats going on in the world. I watch Alton Brown and the food network like crazy, The new Robin Hood and lots of other things on the BBC, like Dr. Who and Absolutely Fabulous ,[adult swim] and of course a ridiculous amount of the history channel.
A Farewell to Arms and anything else by Hemingway, The poems of Dylan Thomas, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, America by John Stewart, H.P Lovecraft, Nietzsche, Al Franken's books (Can you tell I'm a tree hugging, bleeding heart liberal?)
I'm not sure if I really believe in heroes, but if I had to name some people I look up to I'd say John Lennon, Bruce Campbell and the boys of Flogging Molly come pretty close.
