Ocean Blvd was originally formed in 2002 by Blake Parsons (bass) and Dan Stayne (guitar) as a punk rock band, heavily influenced by the likes of Bad Religion and Face to Face. With the addition of Stefan Strychar (vocals, guitar) from Detroit and several lineup and name changes, the band enjoyed playing various shows for the next year. After a three year hiatus and yet another name change, Ocean Blvd reformed in 2006 with one goal in mind: To get away from the poppy, processed and over-produced bubble-gum punk invading radio for the last five years and put out an album that was raw, energetic and true to our roots. Stefan and Blake (a Chicago native) have reworked some old songs and have written several new ones with a sound that is new, exciting and refreshing, precariously straddling the line between punk and indie rock. With Joe Pezzino playing drums in studio, the completed album is now in on sale on iTunes as well as cdbaby.com
