Elie Wiesel

I was born September 20, 1928, in a small jewish village. There i lived with my sister, mother, and father until 1944, when tradgedy happened. I was sent to Auschwitz with my family. I was imediatly seperated from my mother and sister, but I was determined not to lose my father. As I watched others turn on their fathers for only a piece of bread, i was still determined to keep my father alive. I was also determined to live, and promised myself as long as he lived I would not give up on life. Although my father ended up dieing of dysentary in one of the camps, he still is what kept me alive. I lived in the concentration camps Auschwitz, Buna, Gleiwitz, and Buchenwald. Actually, I more died then lived there. I completely lost my faith in god in those camps, and after seeing the sights I have seen, my faith may never be fully restored. The book night was written by me, so it was from my piont of veiw, and I was the protagonist.
