I'm sorry, were you still talking? All I can hear is blah, blah, blah, I'm a dirty whore, blah, blah

About Me

It's 2008 and a the year I turn 30... This is the year I become a yoga teacher. This is the year I have more grandsponsees than sponsees. This is the year I win fitness competitions. This is the year I know myself more as an athlete than anything else. This is the year I ride my bike to work. This is the year I get out of debt. This is the year I vacation out of the country. This is the year I do backflips and splits, handstands and tango. New running shoes, kissing Eric, and fresh roasted coffee make me toe-curling happy. I am a coach, fitness professional, competitor, karaoke singer, tough lover, friend, daughter, sister, girlfriend, trainer and student.
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent." ~Calvin Coolidge
"Gamble everything for love, if you're a true human being. If not, leave this gathering. Half heartedness doesn't reach into majesty." ~Rumi

My Interests

Transformation. Yoga, running, weightlifiting, dancing, acroyoga, fire dancing, sports nutrition, cooking, pedicures, my girlfriends, my boyfriend, watching movies, sobriety, meditation, travelling.
Quote from Karlfried Graf von Durckheim

“The person who, being really on The Way (the path to transformation), falling upon hard times in the world will not, as a consequence, turn to that friend who offers you refuge and comfort and encourages your old self to survive. Rather, you will seek out someone who will faithfully and inexorably help you risk yourself, so that you may endure the suffering and pass courageously through it, thus making of it a ‘raft to that leads to the far shore.’
Only to the extent that you expose yourself over and over again to annihilation, can that which is indestructible arise within you. In this lies the dignity of daring.
Thus, the aim of transformational practice is not to develop an attitude that allows you to acquire a state of harmony and peace wherein nothing can ever trouble you. On the contrary, practice should teach you to let yourself be assaulted, perturbed, moved, insulted, broken and battered --- that is to say it should enable you to dare to let go of your futile hankering after harmony, surcease from pain, and a comfortable life in order that you may discover, in doing battle with forces that oppose you, that which awaits you beyond the world of opposites.
The first necessity is that we should have the courage to face life, and to encounter all that is most perilous in the world.
Only if we venture repeatedly through zones of annihilation can our contact with Divine Being, which is beyond annihilation, become firm and stable.”

I'd like to meet:

Spider Princess by Brian Andreas
"If I was a spider princess, she said, I would spin webs the color of sky & catch drops of sunlight to give to children who watch too much TV & then everyone would remember to come outside to play. If I was a spider princess, she said, things would be different."
I'd like to meet the Spider Princess! Yogis. Acrobats. Dancers. Lovers. Athletes. Figure & Fitness competitors.
People who own their power, people who are proud of themselves and their lives.
Funny, spiritual, sexy, well-read, healthy, brave people who understand the value of being present.
People who live to be of service to others.
People who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty, and who clean up well. :)
People who know how to PLAY!
