Hi I'm Denise Wall, co-owner of Denise Wall's Dance Energy, in Virginia Beach, Va. and mother of 5 amazing BOYS!! I just had the most amazing summer of my life. My oldest son Scott Ross came home from a national tour and sang songs from his CD he produced at our show which was at the Harrison Opera House. My son Danny Tidwell also came home from New York to perform 2 contemporary pieces and one ballet piece. My other two sons, Tyler Wall & Shannon Womble, who are still in training performed throughout the show. So how lucky am I as a mother to be able to direct a show with my talented sons in it. Absent from performing but not absent from adding his talent was my son Travis Wall. Along with Danny, Travis helped me choreograph some pieces and also did some amazing choreography on his own. You might remember Travis from the show "So You Think You Can Dance". He was on the show every week and was the 1st runner-up. Again how lucky am I being his mother and teacher. If this wasn't enough, I took my other children (DWDE Dance Company)to New York for New York City Dance Alliance Nationals and they performed like I have never seen them do before. They shared what they were feeling and told the story through dance. Travis's piece "Til Next Time" won Senior Critics Choice Award. "Boy Meets Girl" our jazz number that Travis and I choreographed together won Teen Critics Choice Award. Danny choreographed the duet and trio that one the top 2 highest scores. Pretty impressive huh!! Jaimie Goodwin won the National Senior Outstanding Female Dancer, Anthony Colantone won the 1st runner-up for National Senior Outstanding Male Dancer, Taja Riley won the 1st runner-up for National Teen Outstanding Female Dancer. Her sister Deja Riley also was on the show "So You Think You Can Dance" and made it through the week of Vegas.
In between of teaching my summer classes in Va. Beach and going back and forth watching Travis in LA, I went to NC to teach master classes @ Foxtroupe then back to CA to teach at Bobbie's School of Performing Arts.
WHAT A SUMMER OR WAS IT ALL A DREAM!!!!!!
