About Me

Over the past three years, Antioch has toured relentlessly across the United States, sharing the hope and love of Jesus Christ with thousands of people, Christian and non-Christian alike. While performing at countless churches, colleges, high schools, youth rallies, festivals, shopping malls and coffee houses, they have seen the Spirit of God moving on the hearts of their audiences resulting in many committing their lives to Jesus.
After catching widespread attention from their debut release "More to Life" it would have been easy for the members of Antioch to settle into the pattern of making meaningless records like so many artists do today. But instead they've chosen to blaze new trails with their newest album, "Unshaken".
Set to hit shelves November 3, 2006, "Unshaken" maintains Antioch's strong reputation for their catchy hooks and melodic harmonies. But musically, the songs fuse rock n' roll, acoustic, worship and contemporary vibes to create a very fresh and very unique sound. "We wanted to make a record that everyone could enjoy listening to, not just the youth" says drummer, Kevin Burton. "By combining a variety of instruments including acoustic and electric guitars, bass, cajon, piano, B3 organ and violin, we feel we..ve done just that." Rock anthems such as "Until You Bless Me" and "The Good Fight" grab your attention immediately with their driving rhythms while ballads such as "Unshaken", "Moving On" and "You Are My King" hit home by urging you to invite Christ into your life in a real and life-changing way.
Lyrically, the album shows a great maturity in writing style by combining Spiritual doctrines with everyday life. The words tell a message of hope and comfort in the middle of this sinful world. "When we started writing the lyrics for this album, we felt like we needed to transform the messages of Scripture into stories and situations that everyone would be able to understand and relate to," says singer/guitarist Aaron Hall. "A lot of times people turn away from God and the church simply because they feel the Bible is no longer relevant to them. They feel that God is no longer the miracle-performing hero of the Bible. We wanted to show them how misinformed they are and how easy it is to start a deep, personal friendship with Christ."
"Welcome Home Jesus" best sums up the message behind the entire album. The song is a direct invitation for God to enter your heart and take complete control of your life. "That song explains that God's grace will cover you no matter how bad you feel you've messed up," shares bassist/singer Nathan Hall. "Without God, nothing is possible. He's the whole reason we are here singing for Him. We want to share that with the world so they will come to know Jesus too."
Originally from Arkansas, Antioch formed in 2003 by original members Aaron Hall (vocals/guitar), Nathan Hall (bass/vocals) and Kevin Burton (percussion). They soon relocated to the Dallas, TX area to finish school and further their music ministry.
The band released their much anticipated debut album "More to Life" on September 30, 2005. This 13 song album, featuring singles "Red Hat Society" and "Catalyst" gained quick success on local and internet radio stations, opening many doors of opportunity for Antioch.
In October 2005, Antioch qualified as semi-finalists in the National Shoutfest Talent Competition giving them the opportunity to share the main stage with artists such as Skillet, Newsong, Disciple and Seventh Day Slumber. Concerts such as this enabled Antioch to gain regional notoriety quickly as a band to be reckoned with.
Since then, Antioch has spent 2006 sharing the stage with many other national artists and well-known regional artists in numerous states. However, they maintain that the main focus in all their efforts is to follow God's will for their lives.
