My interest are as diverse as my wardrobe ... sporty girl -to- business casual -to- funky - to- fo fo she she. Here's a few:* Live Music - rock, pop, alternative, funk, country ... many genres! * Sports - fitness (weights and cardio), basketball, softball, slow pitch, swimming, curling, football * Art - mainly pencil drawings * Movies - anything really ... except material that will give me nightmares * Shopping - yep, love to browse and Ebay is my friend * Friends and Family - planning gatherings and Hosting parties ... is my game
I like meeting people who have a positive outlook, open mind and can laugh at themselves. Sometimes the world can be a pretty heavy place - (whoa melancholy mood) - so people who take every opportunity to truely "LIVE LIFE" are the people I want to surround myself with!
I have always loved music - though my interest has become a little more keen in the last three years (hee hee). I love to sing - and am working on building my confidence to sing in public, however right now I am restricting myself to: inside my car, inside the shower and drinking nights when I loose some inhibitions (and no one remembers how bad I was the next day anyway). As mentioned my musical interests go across the board, but if I was asked to hammer down a few favorite artists they would include: Doc Walker, Corb Lund Band, James Taylor, Pink, Bare Naked Ladies, ACDC ... to mention a few bands. (What would it sound like to get this crew together!?)
All around favorite movies: Shrek One and Two; Finding Nemo (I cried); LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY - for the number of movies I have seen in my life ... there should be many more to mention. but I'm blanking at the moment! Yippie for the Edit Button.
Can't say I'm a huge TV buff - there aren't really any shows that I watch religiously. To some I'm to concervative with TV - I still haven't gotten cable ... I'm concerned it will distract me and keep me from doing other more constructive things ... I am slowly mellowing though ... shield breaking down ... cable TV closing in ...
I know someone who I would gladly share the distiction of having the same favoite book! "The Power Of One" by Bryce Courtney ... it is one of a few books I can think of that has made me laugh out loud and cried streaming tears (thankfully not all in the same chapter!) Excellent book that I would highly recommend!
Cheezy yes ... I'd have to say my parents. Now that I am reaching an age where I want to have a family - I admire the challenges parents go through raising their children to be ready to enter the world as a functioning, contributin adult. Guess this is kind of a back-handed compliment ... but I think my parents are incredible and did a great job!!
